This leaves little room for confusion: the original policy was clearly "per year" and, as reported earlier, was most likely intended to apply even to existing H-1B holder. Trump rolled it back within 24 hours, probably because couldn’t stand the immediate backlash from US big tech.

$100k (around 88 lakh) for H-1B Visas per year from now. Indians get 72% of H-1B visas followed by Chinese at 12%. This won't end well for US. But, India won't be able to benefit from it if Govt and Indian IT Companies don't do the right thing. Indian IT companies will find it difficult at first. But this is the perfect time for them to step up and become more than just service providers.
