Based on current forecasts of extreme wind and critically dry conditions, a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) will be required for customers in Boulder, Clear Creek, Gilpin, Jefferson, Larimer and Weld counties on Friday, Dec. 19, beginning as early as 5 a.m. Weather conditions are expected to start improving... around 6 p.m. Friday evening, though high winds that may create wildfire risk and cause outages are expected to continue through the evening. As with yesterday’s weather, there may be unplanned outages outside of the PSPS event due to high winds or Enhanced Powerline Safety Settings.
