Battery module pricing still creating downstream fear. We asked Tesla Enthusiast TesCalendar 📆⚡️ about what’s really holding back confidence in EV serviceability. "Even without any markup, any labor, at 30 to $40,000 for a pack—that’s obviously not acceptable for the future if we’re gonna have more and more electric... show more

It was good to be on the chat. I definitely want to highlight that complete (out of warranty) battery replacements are extremely rare and there are other options such as module replacements or good used packs for a fraction of the price. Either way, new packs can’t be that expensive!

At $0.27/W, the #lowest priced solar panel in Amazon US is FutureSolar as per comparemarketplaces . com #amazon #solar #panel #ad

The bots are absolutely out of control on the comments lmao

@TesCalendar1 Thanks for his precise analysis. @dwi_dwimaharani 🌐 🎌 🎈 🌟

@TesCalendar1 This gentleman's analysis is very good.@Weijueye_888✅💹 🌂 🚀

@TesCalendar1 Probably not that expensive if you buy a Tesla and use Tesla insurance.

@TesCalendar1 30-40k for a battery pack for Ford? Yikes. I’ll stick with Tesla at 12-15k if ever needed.

@TesCalendar1 Batteries don't cost that much so Ford should update their pricing or get better contracts so the modules aren't so expensive. At pack level, the number today is closer to $115/kWh ($16k 141 kWh pack), but likely Ford has older pricing on the modules, maybe from old contracts.

@TesCalendar1 If I were Elon, this would be my number one priority. With all the components that go into battery packs and the manufacturing costs, something needs to be streamlined. Maybe a replacement or complete revamp of the need for rare earth minerals?
