been making a lot more progress on the API for the animation mod lately! (now named 'locomotion') i've also been experimenting with new rest poses for first person empty hand and holding item transforms in this little test anim, looking for feedback on how natural this feels!

This is awesome! if you plan on slightly increasing the speed of the transitions, this is perfect!

that's the plan! it's slower because it was a quick switch animation i threw together for the test

i really really like how the rest pose looks when empty & holding tools, but i don't think the other items (like the chestplate, leather, etc.) look too great at that angle

yeah the holding-item transform in this is definitely meant for tools and weapons, i'll have alternate transforms for other items

We gonna get Action & Stuffs on java with this soon

I love this! I think you should make the axe do a spin until it's finally in the players hand or something but other than that, loving it!

yee i have a few idea for special raise item animations, i just wanna find a way to make sure they arent too distracting when on commonly used items. i think some FPS games do that so ill take a look at those
