Been non-stop with Omarchy Linux since getting back from holiday yesterday. Made a few plugins already, but unfortunately too late for the contest. The first one I'm sharing later is a utility to use / manage Elgato devices (stream deck, key light, camlink). The demo is recorded by a... show more

@OmarchyLinux Check ;)

@OmarchyLinux Wha-bam! Nice!

BTW it also comes with CLIs to control each device's configuration programmatically or with an agent, and a default set of Omarchy stream deck buttons.

@OmarchyLinux just installed now on an old windows laptop that was in the closet. installed like a charm clankers installed & the machine is adding value. amazing

@OmarchyLinux I've had it with Windows slop and am about to make the move to Omarchy or Pop. Thoughts?

Lots! It definitely feels like the opposite of Windows slop; I'm also even enjoying it better than Mac. I've only experience with Ubuntu, DGX OS and Omarchy (arch based); with Omarchy it's been my main since about May and I have had nothing but great experiences. I don't know Pop. Omarchy 4.0 with agents feels like a big deal. You can truly personalize the entire OS to your needs, and the plugin system is incredible. Using Omarchy reminds me of the first time I used a coding agent early last year, when I had this very strong gut feeling that it's going to change things. I'm deciding personally to go all-in, in a big way. I'm still a Linux noob but I'm trying to skate to where the puck is going. 4.0 is still early, mind, and a lot will prob change still. I did change a bit to apply more defensive configs (i.e. for package manager defaults, AUR concerns, and Tailscale setup and a few other things) after discussing supply chain concerns with an agent. The only thing I don't like is Nautilus as the file manager, which feels out of place aesthetically and in UX compared to everything else. You can just use Yazi and LazyVim tho but still. Been using my own plugin instead which has been fun to make and use.

@OmarchyLinux I connected Elgato lights using Home Assistant plugin

@OmarchyLinux Awesome! There's so many cool plugins and options.

@OmarchyLinux I considered trying and testing Omarchy but still hesitate to try Linux OS after only using Windows so far. But your post here is kinda encouraging me to try it on this weekend. Love your sharing on PowerBI and data world in general and now adventure into new OS. Thank you.

@OmarchyLinux Defos encourage it!

@OmarchyLinux I need this! Where can I get it?

@OmarchyLinux Here you go!

@OmarchyLinux how did you make this slick video?

@OmarchyLinux It's another plugin that I'll share later today! It's a plugin for the agent to do screen share demos based on what I prefer. I'll ping you when it's up I'd love to hear any feedback or have any contributions!

@OmarchyLinux cool! love to use this!

@OmarchyLinux Very cool, same story here. I also created my first plugin today: Tableau. Save your desktop setup, including workspaces, terminals, apps and services, and restore it anytime

@OmarchyLinux Super cool. I have a bunch of this and a plugin and CLI version will be very helpful.

@OmarchyLinux Too cool! I installed @OmarchyLinux on my previous work laptop over the weekend. The TUI is different, but I find it compelling. I'm looking forward to getting more used to it. :{>

@OmarchyLinux Dude this is so good I need this one

@OmarchyLinux Will this work for elgato prompter too?

@OmarchyLinux Not yet, no - I've been looking into adding that next because I have the prompter, too
