What an awesome video! This is totally the things I have been wondering about lately. Qwen comes out as super interesting and the one I will try. I have been trying Kimi via OpenRouter a bit, but it has been painfully slow and dumb.

How did you connect OpenEouter to your VS Code? I added my API key using the built in model manager and continually get unknown tokenizer errors whenever it tries to do anything with tools.

Great video Burke! I've been doing the same as you, checking out these models. I can not run DeepSeek V4 Pro in Copilot CLI though. Trying to research the issue Opus tells me there is a compatibility issue running DeepSeek V4 Pro and Copilot CLI - clearly you're not running into that!?

Frankly speaking I tried Claude, GLM, minimax and deepseek. Claude is good but bad at limits while deepseek v4 pro is cost effective. And I used minmax it's good for small tasks not for reasoning or complex task.

Stop saying that Opus 4.6 is better than Opus 4.8. I just tested Claude Opus 4.8 (Right) and Claude Opus 4.6 (Left) on the same exact prompt. Claude Opus 4.8 completed it in less than 2 minutes. Claude Opus 4.6 "Garnished" for over 7 minutes. Stop using Opus 4.6.

anthropic cooked hard with opus 5.2 after testing it for a whole day, i can say this model is so good > huge step up from opus 5 > on par with astra > faster than opus 5 > way better at frontend and 3d here’s one frontend test i ran and it’s the best output any model has given me even better than astra you can check fable 5.1 output with same prompt in QT and tbh opus 5.2 just mogs everyone here really hoping that anthropic will release this model officially this week
