Blender 5 makes setting up a Lattice easier than ever. Select an object, or even multiple objects, and then from the Add menu choose Lattice Deform Selected. You can also use Lattices to add objects to the surface of another object, and to animate things. #blender #blender3d #b3d

Blender 5 gives us a new Array modifier and with it, the ability to easily place objects as instances along a Curve. Previously, it was done using a combination of Array and Curve modifiers, but it would deform the instances unless you used a workaround. #Blender #b3d #Blender3d

ok so turns out you can do an easier and more reliable setup with lattices! give a lattice a position constraint to follow the X and Y axis to stay centered on the object, then widen the bottom and its a very satisfying result fuckin love this stupid lemur balloon 🤤

Did you know that in Blender you can easily distribute objects along curves? ✨ 1. Press Shift+A to add a bezier curve 2. In the geometry nodes editor press 'New' 3. Press Shift+A to add 'Curve to Points' and 'Instance on Points' nodes 4. Drag the object you want to distribute from the outliner onto the geonode editor and connect the sockets 5. Did you know that in Blender you can easily make the rotation of one object drive the rotation of another? ✨ 1. Select your object 2. Hover over one of its rotation fields and press CTRL+D 3. In the popup select the rotation of another object 4. You can write "smoothstep(0, tau, var) * 2" to both limit the rotation and make it non-linear. Tau is 180 degrees, and it's the end angle for the wheel, and 2 is the end angle for the gate leaf in radians (3 is approx. 180, so 2 is approx 2/3 of that!) 5. To copy the animation to the second leaf, select both, press CTRL+L, and choose 'Link Animation Data'. To invert the angle, add a minus sign, and you're done! 👌 #b3d

I got the parallax to work on shapes other than a plane. UV maps or Object coordinates. It's all good. Only problem is, the object can't be rotated. Once I get that sorted, I'll call this finished. #b3d #blender #blender3d #blendercommunity #blender質問室

Did you know that in Blender you can instance entire collections of objects? ✨ 1. Select your objects 2. Press M to put them in a new collection 3. Press Shift+A and find your collection at the bottom of the menu. Changes made to the original collection will be reflected in all of the instanced ones! 4. Select your instanced collections and press M to put them in another collection. You can compose your instanced collections into hierarchies of any complexity! #b3d

In its rotation write: "# sin(frame / 300 * pi * 2 * 3) * 0.5" where 3 is the number of swings it does, and 0.5 is the amplitude multiplier (use a bigger number for bigger swings), and 300 is your end frame 3. Enjoy the perfect loop! #b3d
