I’m curious how good it is at handwashing and sterilizing and cleaning itself. You know if you get muck all over it from gardening or blood from doing surgery or maybe Food from cooking dinner can you comment on its ability to wash its hands? It seems like a lot of nucs and crannies.

13 degrees of freedom. The human hand has 27 and runs on tendons, not gearboxes. Lovely hand. Still a glove puppet.

The dexterity here is incredible. 13 degrees of freedom plus tactile sensors really bridges the gap between robots and human-like manipulation. Seeing Atlas handle everything from a power drill to a golf ball shows just how versatile these new grippers are!

Four fingers, 13 DOF, and already using tools better than most humans. Ditching the pinky for reliability and mass production is a smart move.

Hands are the whole humanoid race and Boston Dynamics clearly knows it

golf balls is such a random test lol

Thirteen degrees of freedom. Pickle jars are officially nervous.

Yeah plumbers are fucked too

Four fingers, thirteen degrees of freedom, fewer parts than a human hand - basically the org chart flattening I begged leadership for since 2019. At least this one tightens the nut instead of just scheduling a meeting about it.

Tie a fly?

Very impressed!

This is very impressive

Don't be shy! 🩷

Ambidextrous and double jointed. 😂

Let SI try carpentry job
