This might sound controversial, but here goes. If you can afford it, seriously consider taking a flight when your train journey originates from or terminates in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, or some other high-density northern route. It’s not about the people. It’s about the travel experience: overcrowding, long waiting times, poor cleanliness, ticketless passengers, unpredictable delays, and the sheer chaos that can sometimes make a long-distance train journey exhausting. If the extra cost of a flight is manageable for you, sometimes you’re not paying for luxury. You’re paying for time, comfort, predictability and peace of mind.

Recently I took a Second AC coach to travel to #Bhubaneswar. At different stations throughout the night, people moved around the compartment in search of vacant berths. The doors were not closed at any point. That is why thefts take place. @AshwiniVaishnaw @RailMadad

Misleading information. It happened all over India. If you get time then travel in AVADH ASSAM EXP from DLI to ROK and back. You will feel reality. Same in 12137/38 from Bhopal to Itarsi and back. I feel same in south bound train also from Delhi in Karnataka exp.

But now, the situation has worsened they are entering Third AC coaches as well and troubling people without hesitation. Passengers pay full fare expecting a safe and peaceful journey, not to be left dealing with harassment on their own. It’s the responsibility of Indian Railways to ensure proper security across all classes, not leave travelers at the mercy of such situations. Safety and dignity during travel shouldn’t be a luxury it’s a basic right.

I am travelling on Train No. 22686 (PNR: 2360755512). My co-passenger purchased chhach/lassi from a vendor, but the product was found to be expired. When we informed the vendor, he simply said, “Galti ho gayi.” Selling expired dairy products to passengers is a serious health and food-safety concern. Had one of the most horrifying experiences while traveling from Chandigarh to Jaipur today in Aircraft 6E7261 by IndiGo. We were made to wait for about 10-15 minutes in the queue in the scorching sun and when we entered the Plane, to our shock, the ACs weren't working and the flight took off without the ACs on! Right from the take off to landing, the ACs were off and all the passengers were made to 'Suffer' throughout the journey. No one addressed the serious concern during the flight. In fact, the air hostess ‘generously’ distributed tissue papers to the passengers to wipe off their sweat. Most of the passengers including women and children were restless and agitated, which can be seen clearly in the video. Helpless passengers were fanning themselves with papers to keep cool. It was clearly a major technical issue but the authorities concerned just wanted to mince money that is why the health and comfort of the passengers was put at stake. I urge DGCA Airports Authority of India to take strict action against #IndigoAirlines and the authorities concerned so that the passengers don’t have to go through such traumatic experience again.
