BREAKING: Tesla's FSD (Supervised) is officially launching today to the general public across Australia and New Zealand. All HW4 Model 3s and Model Ys now have access. Launch details: • Eligible customers will be able to upgrade their vehicle to enable FSD (Supervised) by way of an ‘over-the-air’ update... from anywhere with a WiFi connection. • FSD (Supervised) is available as an optional package for every new Tesla vehicle purchased in Australia and New Zealand. • Customers who have already taken delivery of an eligible vehicle without purchasing Full Self-Driving Capability can upgrade by purchasing the FSD (Supervised) package. Now this last statement “No timeline for HW3 owners yet.”worries me. People like me have bought expensive FSD software back since 2019 and if Tesla are not prioritising or have no plans for such customers immediately to receive FSD after the launch, it will not be good. We’ve been patient and loyal for far too long @elonmusk and it’s Tesla’s duty to deliver / upgrade HW3 cars. You need to take care of customer loyalty and trust! Now having said the above, I’m in the UK @tesla_uk @TeslaOwnersUK, so given how slow the regulators @transportgovuk @UNECE @Keir_Starmer are, @Tesla has time but I’d expect our batch who’re on HW3 and have bought FSD to be the first to receive FSD and not the last ones leaving us down the priority. Thanks and please plan upgrades on our cars soon. 🙏🏻

I purchased my HW3 in 2023. This is what we know: HW3 already has FSD Supervised in the USA. Tesla knows FSD will need HW4+ to move beyond FSD Supervised. Tesla may not yet know if HW4 will be good enough, and if HW5 is required for FSD Unsupervised. Elon has committed to fixing HW3 for those that have purchased FSD. No choice really; they would get sued otherwise (if not already). The optimist in me says the following: Australia is first to market with RHD FSD Supervised. It is prudent for Tesla to be careful with the rollout as a stuff up now will likely dramatically slow the rollout for the rest of the world. They don’t know what they don’t know. They first deployed to a small number of HW4 users here in Australia. Now done, 3 or 4 week trial, I think, completed. Today they deployed to all HW4 users. The fact it took only 3 - 4 weeks to progress is encouraging. We are waiting now for them to deploy to HW3 users, hopefully soon, and likely/hopefully in a similar way to what it’s doing in the USA (my assumption). My guess is Tesla will not upgrade the HW3 until after is has deployed FSD Unsupervised successfully. To do so may risk them upgrading to HW4 only to discover later they need to upgrade again to HW5. The biggest issue I see (as others have raised) is the deafening silence from Tesla. I have worked in the software industry and I’m familiar with the play book., “Never give a date because stuff can and will go wrong”. I get it, but it is still disgraceful treatment of those early believers that purchased earlier models and paid for these features that helped Tesla succeed to date. I’m frustrated like all HW3 owners. I would like now to see some public statement on how it plans to make good what it’s done to HW3 users.

Installed mine this morning, went for first big drive as a first test! OMG, totally unbelievable, words cannot describe how it feels when you have to pinch yourself that you are actually present in the future!
