BREAKING PMJT's Libs rammed through a bill that will secure pensions for soon-to-be-defeated Liberal MPs. They tried to hide this in an "elections" bill, hoping Canadians wouldn't notice as they pad their pockets. They're giving taxpayers the middle finger on their way out.

As predicted, Govt managed to get Public Examination Amendment Bill introduced amidst chaos & protests in the House. Several MPs had given their names to oppose introduction of Bill (which they have a right to). Speaker quickly went through their names as a formality and the Bill was introduced. Then at 12.06pm, Speaker said that MPs have till 1pm only to move amendments, if any. Why even this much time was given? House was adjourned till 2pm and it remains to be seen whether Govt will push this Bill through without debate, amid chaos and protests or the House will actually have a debate? #Parliament #MonsoonSession #SansadWatch

The Speaker of the House ruled their unprecedented motion to trample the Charter protected rights of Canadians must be sent to committee for further study, to determine whether Parliament should be able to use its extraordinary powers to circumvent due process for Canadians. So now that they have been caught playing their dangerous political game, they are obstructing their own obstruction. Probably because they know if this goes to committee their egregious behaviour will be called out and they'll have to face the truth of their actions. The Speaker has been clear: send this to committee. Then let's get to debating the important legislation Canadians want us to work on.
