#Rwanda has been #independent for over 60 years. During that time, President #Kagame has been the country’s president for 31 years, yet he is now asking why Rwanda is not developing like other countries. However, there are some reasons that explain this: 1. It is true that President Kagame exploits and impoverishes his citizens, as Charles #Murigande once said. 2. The #wealthy #people in Rwanda who used to create jobs that helped develop the country and provided employment for citizens have been #killed one by one, and their property has been taken by President Kagame. Those who were not killed have been persecuted and forced to #flee the country. 3. The nation’s wealth is not distributed fairly among the people. These are the problems in Rwanda. As the Chairperson of the African Union Committee of Five(C5) responsible for overseeing the process of the implementation of the revitalised peace agreement, we left South Sudan with renewed hope that peace will prevail. And, that a process of inclusive national dialogue involving all the signatories to the revitalized agreement will be undertaken, and that all the processes that will move from now will remain credible, and that all parties will be involved and be allowed to participate in this process. It is important that the elections should be inclusive, should be transparent, should be fair, and the security environment should be conducive to conduct free and fair elections.

The president of South Africa has signed the Expropriation Bill through which he seeks the power to confiscate private property without compensation. This despite the fact that his party has lost significant support in the last election and is now governing in coalition with several parties that have described this step as a red line that cannot be crossed. The question thus becomes what are these parties going to do? Is it worth being part of a "government of national unity" if that government is even more radical than the previous one. People who voted against EWC and the Bela Bill are now represented by parties involved with a government that is presiding over the implementation of these things. Should they remain in the GNU?
