The Government has approved an eastern coast railway project forming part of the Howrah–Chennai High Density Network. The corridor spans from Kolkata through Odisha covering Balasore, Bhadrak, Jakhapura, Haridaspur, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda and Berhampur, and extends into Andhra Pradesh through Naupada, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam up to Vijayawada and Chennai. This stretch is being developed as a four lined corridor to ease congestion and improve connectivity. The project will benefit major ports such as Kakinada, Machilipatnam and Gangavaram, strengthening cargo movement and logistics. The project includes 3 mega bridges, 58 major bridges, 416 minor bridges, 73 underpasses and 3 flyovers, along with a 2.7 km elevated railway line, with a total track length of about 458 km. Designed for high density, high capacity and high speed operations, it will address heavy traffic across the corridor. The 12.6 km stretch of Metro Line 3 from Aarey to BKC is opening today, thanks to Selfless fight of leaders like Fadnavis’ against alleged environmentalists who tried to stall the project by calling it as Aarey Forest. Atlast people of Mumbai won!! BKC to Aarey JVLR section, with 10 stations (9 underground), will enhance connectivity between Mumbai city and suburbs, catering to around 12 lakh passengers daily.

Reviewed Key Rail Projects during the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railways' study visit to Bengaluru. 1. Whitefield-Kengeri Suburban Rail Project: The 35-km Whitefield-Kengeri suburban rail (Parijatha line) will not be scrapped. The Modi Government-approved DPR for the 149.348-km Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project remains intact. 2. Panathur Railway Underpass (RUB): K-RIDE has already commissioned one vent way of the Panathur Railway Underpass (RUB), and the other will be commissioned by January 2025. 3. Carmelaram Rail Overbridge (ROB): The construction of the railway portion of the Carmelaram Rail Overbridge (ROB) is in progress. However, the approach work has been halted due to delays in land acquisition by the BBMP. 4. New Trains to Kempegowda International Airport: Requested a feasibility study for the introduction of new trains to Kempegowda International Airport from Bengaluru City, especially Whitefield. 5. Bengaluru Cantonment-Whitefield Quadrupling: The quadrupling of the Bengaluru Cantonment to Whitefield section will be completed by June 2025. 6. Doubling Projects: The doubling of the Hosur-Salem line via Yesvantpur station and the Baiyyappanahalli-Hosur line will be completed by August 2025. 7. Status of the Circular Rail Network: a. Oddarahalli-Devanahalli Segment: The survey is complete, and the DPR was submitted to the Railway Board on 23.09.2024 for ₹1638.24 Cr. The Railway Board has requested the complete DPR by February 2025. b. Remaining 6 Segments (Devanahalli-Malur-Heelalige-Hejjala-Solur-Nidavanda-Oddarahalli): The survey work is ongoing. 8. Bengaluru-Mumbai High-speed train: Proposed the introduction of a high-speed train between Bengaluru to Mumbai. 9. MEMU Trains Between Kengeri and Whitefield: Proposed the introduction of additional MEMU trains between Kengeri and Whitefield. 10. Namo Bharat Rapid Rail: Proposed the introduction of Namo Bharat Rapid Rail between Bengaluru-Tumakuru and Bengaluru-Mysuru.

NLC starts work on Dedicated Freight Corridor & Multimodal Logistics Park, Pipri 🇵🇰 Due to absence of rail-based freight transportation system at Karachi Port, congestion of containers has become a routine problem resulting in slow cargo movement & negative impact on economic activities. Heavy road traffic has also led to increased environmental pollution & damage to road infrastructure. The construction of Dedicated Freight Corridor and Multimodal Logistics Park at Pipri offers a long-term solution to these challenges. Ground breaking ceremony of Dedicated Freight Corridor was held with Federal Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi and Group Chairman and CEO DP World, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem attending as chief guests. NLC will complete the project in multiple phases with USD 400 million Foreign Direct Investment. The first phase is scheduled for completion within four months. The project includes rehabilitation of a 52-kilometer railway corridor from Karachi Port to Pipri Marshalling Yard along with development of a modern Multimodal Logistics Park. It is aligned with the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and Pakistan Railways’ ML-1 Project. Upon completion, import containers will be transported directly by rail from Karachi Port to Pipri and onward to destinations across Pakistan, China, Central Asia and other regional countries. The project is expected to significantly reduce container congestion at Karachi Port, streamline cargo movement, accelerate economic activity and bring marked improvements in traffic management and environmental conditions.

The newly constructed 9.60 km broad gauge double line between Almatti and Wandal, part of the Gadag–Hotgi Doubling Project, was commissioned and opened for passenger services on 25.03.2026. This section features a major open web girder bridge over the Parvatikatti River and is equipped with modern track infrastructure designed to support speeds of up to 110 kmph. With the commissioning of this stretch, the entire Gadag–Hotgi doubling project has been successfully completed, resulting in increased line capacity, improved punctuality, and safer, more efficient train operations.

We need to focus on our similarities.” This remark reveals a moving story between Ronald Sakolsky from Pittsburgh and Yin Yuzhen, a Chinese heroine who has dedicated to protect environment by planting trees in the desert for decades. In 1999, then a teacher in China, Ronald donated $5,000 to support tree-planting efforts by Mme.Yin in Mu Us Desert in China's Inner Mongolia. It is in recent days that the two are able to reconnect online after 27 long years. The seed of good will and friendship has grown into over 50,000 trees.

We are delighted to inform our people that the drive from Abeokuta to Papalanto is now free of bad portions. The contractor handling the Abeokuta-Ota-Lagos Road project has almost completed the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the section between Abeokuta and Papalanto, making the journey along this axis smooth and stress-free. Work is also progressing steadily between Papalanto, Ifo, and Sango, where construction activities are ongoing to deliver a durable and motorable road for the benefit of all. This project, though a federal road, was formally handed over to us after several years of failed interventions, and we took it upon ourselves to ensure it is fixed once and for all. Our administration remains resolute in its commitment to providing quality infrastructure that enhances economic growth, facilitates ease of movement, and improves the daily lives of our people. The railway line that Hon'ble PM Narendra Modi Ji inaugurated is now serving the apple farmers of Kashmir. Starting with few parcel coaches, we are now running one train daily since 15th sept. Looking at the requests from Kashmir valley, we will scale up to two rakes daily. This will carry about 1000 tons apples per day. That is equivalent to 100 truck loads of apples per day. With these cargo services from Anantnag and Badgam, apple farmers of Jammu and Kashmir will have better access to markets.

▪️Following government intervention, more than 70% of our imports are now coming through routes other than the #StraitofHormuz. Therefore, as far as crude oil is concerned, the situation remains quite comfortable. As stated earlier, India consumes around 55 lakh barrels of oil every day ▪️Another important point is that India is the fourth-largest refiner in the world, which provides considerable comfort regarding the availability of products such as petrol and diesel ▪️Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has issued an order under Essential Commodities Act which has directed all the refineries to maximise the production of LPGs and as a result of that, the production has increased. Yesterday, it was 25%, now, it is 28% of our domestic production ▪️We have a very vast network of retail outlets. Almost one lakh retail outlets are operating in the country. 🚨🚨The govt’s move to reduce excise duty on petrol and diesel will NOT reduce the price of fuel for you. Wait for elections to get over! ▪️It has NOT been done to benefit the consumer ▪️It has been done to cushion the oil marketing companies like IOC, HPCL & BPCL ▪️Amidst rising global oil prices and supply disruptions the under recoveries of oil marketing companies were rising and margins were under pressure ▪️The govt has decided to take a hit on its own exchequer to maintain financial health of OMCs ▪️In the last 12 years the Modi govt has raised excise duty on petrol and diesel 14 times, and mostly under special and additional category and cess which is not shared with the states ▪️These repeated excise duty hikes boosted central government revenue from petroleum products to by Rs 39,000,000,000,000 (Rs 39 lakh crore) ▪️Excise duties under UPA Diesel: Rs 3.56/ litre Petrol: Rs 9.48/ litre ▪️Under Modi govt peak excise duty Diesel: Rs 31.83/ litre, ⬆️ 800% Petrol: Rs 32.98/ litre, ⬆️250% ▪️The govt did NOT pass benefits to consumers even when price of global crude came down significantly, it instead filled its own exchequer. ▪️This move to cushion the oil marketing companies is similar to oil bonds that the BJP so vehemently criticises 👉This revenue sacrifice via excise cuts is being done to shield OMCs and prevent sharp spike in prices - exactly what oil bonds did! 👉One will have to see what the govt dos when elections are over in the 5 states. Knowing their track record bare up for higher prices
