NEW: Helicopter with four people on board crashes into trees in footage shared by Diesel Brothers star David Sparks. A Bell 222 (think Airwolf) has crashed in Huntington Beach, California this afternoon. N222EX is well know to visit local car shows and charity events in SoCal. You can see the tail rotor start to change directions in the video and a fast clockwise rotation starts meaning tail rotor authority has been lost. This is the absolute worst time to lose a tail rotor. In forward flight you have a chance but near zero airspeed, it’s next to impossible to fly the aircraft out of it. Latest report is it was just the pilot onboard and he is alive with injures. Pray🙏 🎥sip this ☕️

I’ve seen concerns about the #ToxicTheMovie film team cutting down trees for their set at HMT layout Bengaluru. After checking Google Earth, it appears that the location has been mostly empty since 2012, with green patches in some years and again empty place, but not a dense forest. That said, I strongly oppose any harm to NATURE 🌳, and the team could’ve considered alternative places to avoid any impact on nature. Currently the case is in court. And hope they plan to restore the area by planting trees afterward. Yash KVN Productions

THEY PAVED PARADISE AND PUT UP A SKYWAY I condemn the DENR for allowing the tree-cutting and earth-balling of HUNDREDS OF TREES along Quirino Avenue in Manila City. All of these trees cut. Just to pave the way for the construction of the “Southern Access Link Expressway” (SALEX) by San Miguel Corporation. The SALEX spans a measly 4 kilometers but four elevated lanes. A total of 617 trees will be affected. 617 trees — all of it for just 4 kilometers of an expressway which will never reduce traffic because all expressways have been proven to actually induce demand for automobiles according to empirical research and scientific studies. Hundreds of trees have ALREADY been cut but hundreds more will be cut in the next few days. I call on President Bongbong Marcos, the DENR, SMC, and the City of Manila to stop this madness. No one is allowed to cut down trees without authorization from the relevant government authorities. Today, I took action against a developer in Parklands who was cutting down trees without following the proper procedure or obtaining the required permission. Any developer intending to cut down trees in our city must follow the established procedure and is required to replace every tree that is removed. We will not allow our city to be turned into a desert.

The helicopter ended up wedged between the palm trees. Huntington Beach police said two people who were inside the helicopter were safely pulled from the wreckage in unknown condition. Three people on the street were injured. All five individuals were taken to the hospital. The cause of the crash is still unknown.

One of the gentlemen, one of the great leaders of Austria says we don't have forest fires, we have trees that are more flammable than in California but they literally rake their forests, if it trickles down they take it down. They say you have 18 months and after that it is a matchstick. I know some environmental groups like the trees to melt into the ground but when they do they become an inferno. You have to change your ways.

The aircraft was en route to Jamaica to deliver hurricane relief following Hurricane Melissa. Witnesses say it struck palm trees and a fence before impact. The condition of those onboard remains unknown, as no person or body has been recovered as of yet.
