Can confirm. There’s currently a bug with Low Texture Quality in #Pragmata. At Low, some textures fail to load properly causing VRAM and CPU usage to fluctuate and leading to frequent bursts of frame time spikes, It happens very often and I’m not sure if it affects all GPUs.

A weird issue that I'm having with the PC version of 007 First Light is some textures don't seem to load properly and are extremely low resolution. I took a quick look at #CrimsonDesert Patch 1.04.02 and there’s a clear improvement to texture quality on distant objects. This is visible across all Texture Quality settings, especially the higher ones. However, this improvement isn’t free, VRAM usage is noticeably higher particularly at higher texture settings. The patch also brings a slight uplift in distant Level of Detail, but it mostly affects far-away objects and doesn’t fix or reduce the game’s aggressive pop-in closer to the camera.

Here’s what’s causing the stuttering when aiming with the sniper rifle: Setting Level Of Detail to Very High (and High, to a lesser extent) causes a significant VRAM spike, which leads to the stutter. Another day, another odd and old-school technical issue in #Nioh3. This game doesn’t just expect the frame rate to hit its FPS cap to work properly, it also wants the FPS to line up with the display refresh rate. Using the 60 fps cap at 120Hz (or higher) can result in lots of frame-time spikes and microstuttering. the only way to avoid this is to switch the refresh rate to 60 Hz, which gives a much smoother frame time graph. Frame Generation on top of a 60 FPS base at 120 Hz works flawlessly without any frame time issues.

Monster Hunter Wilds big performance patch is out on PC. I spoke with the user who originally discovered the DLC bug and they confirmed that it seems to be fixed. More improvements I noticed from some quick testing (continued): • Better 1% lows for smoother gameplay with less hitching and stutter • Lower VRAM usage (10+ GB -> 7.5GB) • Higher FPS in some cases • CPU optimizations • High res texture pack is actually usable now • Lowered the install size by 45GB with texture pack • Some users report that their new frame rate WITHOUT FG = old frame rate WITH FG • More graphics options to tweak Overall, this update seems to have done the trick. Still not 100% perfect but MUCH better than it was before. The recent Steam reviews have also been very positive so it seems that most agree. Another patch is coming in February with even more optimizations for both PC and console. Settings and PC specs at the end - this was the default recommended settings at 4K DLSS Performance, Frame Gen off, 16x AF (roughly the High preset). Finally, Capcom didn't credit anyone in the Patch Notes so shoutout to de_Tylmarande for originally bringing the DLC bug to people's attention. #MonsterHunter #MonsterHunterWilds

Silver Palace Performance Results After 48 Hours of Testing !! 1. The game currently runs worse than Wuthering Waves, with frequent frame drops. 2. The developers have released 3 updates so far, and I noticed that the CPU bottleneck has been reduced. 3. These results are on DLSS Quality. DLAA has even more stuttering. Question: Is it fixable? Answer: It depends. No matter what, this game is going to be very demanding. If you look at NTE, it uses a hybrid graphics system where you can disable SSR through presets, but Silver Palace doesn't have an option like that. Combined with other heavy graphical effects, performance takes a noticeable hit. This hybrid system should have been available from the start. Since we're only in CBT2, I expect some improvements before launch. Based on my testing, the game will likely perform similarly to STALKER 2, and performance will also depend heavily on Frame Generation. I also noticed CPU bottlenecks on both DLAA and DLSS in almost every area. Things that need to be added: Render Distance setting — this would significantly reduce CPU bottlenecks for mid-range and low-end CPUs. #SilverPalace #Gacha

Current 2x RTX 6000 build during an extended bench test. CPU at 100% and both GPUs at 100%. Recorded for noise and thermals documentation. This is as loaded as I can get it on the 1600w titanium PSU. Pulling ~1650w at the wall. People were interested in how the air cooled HX on the CPU would hold up so wanted to document. Cruises at about 95c even with the GPUs going nuts. Had to cap GPUs around 535w for the test, that was just being safe with the PSU ceiling (got within 50w of the PSU hard cap) and I wanted to put maximum emphasis for this test on the CPU cooler under full load at the full 350w draw with GPU exhaust hitting it. It genuinely holds up like a champ. It feels like my limits with this build at this point are power not thermals.
