Bone Tide is officially out on the App Store and Google Play 🎉 The React Native Expo version runs on the exact same TypeGPU engine as the Web game, shared 1:1 between both platforms. Only the UI was ported to React This was made possible by some amazing work across the React Native open source ecosystem. Huge thanks to William Candillon for react-native-webgpu and for always helping me resolve any issues incredibly quickly :D I think it’s a pretty cool showcase of what can be built with React Native nowadays. Two weeks apart. Same person. Different choices. This isn’t a “fell off” post. This isn’t shame. This is reality. This is part of the story. After the show, I went from 168.4 lbs to 182.2 lbs. And at this point… it’s a choice. I’ve realized something about myself: When I hit a peak, I tend to sabotage it so I have something to chase again. But the truth is.. Greatness is built by staying disciplined after the high, not restarting from the low. And as someone who’s lived both extremes more times than I can count, I’ll say this with full honesty: The pain of discipline is ALWAYS better than the pain of regret. So here’s the good news… I get to use this moment as fuel. I get to document the entire climb back and show you exactly how I’m going to do it using the same systems I teach in G7 Coaching and the G7 Fitness App. No waiting for New Year’s. No “Diet Starts Tomorrow.” We start today. It’s Game Time. 💪🏾😤

I’ve been using 60% Apple-style corner smoothing all the time. But whenever I explain it to Codex or Claude Code, they often miss the point. So I made a skill that anyone can use with their AI agents: npx skills add gabrielobholz/corner-smoothing-skill Now I can simply say: “Create a rectangle with radius: 32 and smoothing: 60” and get the shape I actually mean.

if you are making an isometric 3D game, one of the easiest and highest impact improvement to lighting you can make is to take your lighting rig, and shove it inside the camera hierarchy. It gives a consistent lighting from all angles! no idea why it took me so long to do this

Imagining UI components as jelly is oddly satisfying… this time it’s a “Jelly Switch”, built using TypeGPU without any extra libraries. Live demo & Code: Once again, SDFs gave us a lot of freedom to make the form of the object dynamic and jiggly. Konrad built a great foundation for implementing SDF-based UI components, can’t imagine us stopping here 👀 If you’re interested in WebGPU and are a TypeScript developer, I can’t recommend TypeGPU enough (toootally unbiased opinion)
