This might be the most fun I’ve had in Vision Pro yet 😅 In AR Helicopters, you can fly your own miniature chopper using any controller connected to the headset (I used my Switch Pro Controller). While I love the hand and eye controls, the strong haptic feedback of the controller really enhanced the illusion of actually flying the helicopter. The occlusion and sound effects made it feel like a real, physical toy. It just goes to show that after being a productivity powerhouse, a multimedia heaven, and a thousand other things — Vision Pro can also be a very expensive toy for adult children! I’m just glad there wasn’t a real pilot in that helicopter 😂 🔊 Sound on!

while we don’t know for sure if the iPhone mirroring feature will come to the Apple Vision Pro, I sure hope it does. for now, it's available on Mac—i tested it and it's amazing! here’s how you can experience it on your Mac today: 1. make sure both your iPhone and Mac are running the latest beta versions of iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia. 2. position your iPhone near your Mac. 3. an icon titled "iPhone Mirroring" will appear on your Mac's Dock. 4. select the "Continue" button on your Mac. 5. unlock your iPhone when prompted. 6. on your Mac, click the "Get Started" button. 7. with your iPhone locked, open the "iPhone Mirroring" app on your Mac. this feature is a game-changer, and i can’t wait for the day it hopefully comes to the Vision Pro!

Recorded memories are in pretty good quality, real size and 6DoF, meaning you can walk around it, get closer. And it’s clear that this is still far from being perfect, but I can feel the presence. This project has been “cooking” for quite some time, based on a concept I came up with back in July. It seems simple but it actually allows for a lot of new workflows and use-cases as you might think. Finally got a Vision Pro, and now I can test all the prototypes that I made for VisionOS last year 🥳 My overall impression of Vision Pro: a piece of art. The user experience is very smooth and solid. Developing for VisionOS is a pure joy. No glitches and bugs so far. The real-time interactive updates in the preview are *chef kiss*. People who have been in XR for a while are not really spoiled by things that just work. In this regard, the Vision Pro experience feels magical. We are always happy when a system's behaviour matches our expectations (a little dopamine reward to celebrate the accuracy of our predictions). The greatest features for Spatial Designers: UI panel material highlights, UI panel shadow, and UI panel translucency. It finally makes spatial transformations meaningful (for free!). You see how your UI engages with the environment using visual affordances that people get used to. And yeah, as you can see, I recorded this video at night, and it worked great. visionOS in REAL LIFE?! To pitch one of my Vision Pro app concepts to an online interior shop, we prototyped an idea we’ve had for a while: What if you could bring visionOS windows into the real world by printing them onto real frosted glass panels? Not only would this make for a fantastic marketing stunt, but it could also allow people to (kind of) experience these apps in stores without needing to wear a headset at all. Finding the perfect glass, turning a digital design into a printable layout, and producing it took many iterations. Each time, we had to reprint and refine the design, which took several months. For a single pitch, it was definitely too much work, but it was a fun experiment. Looking ahead, I can see this concept becoming the future of advertising Spatial Computing apps in the physical world.
