Kam is right. Cdns have been brainwashed by the Carney legacy media into believing Carney w/o seeing the text of the agreement. I've lost faith in my fellow Cdns to have the ability to look beyond the propaganda.

99% of Canadians have no idea what this means, who pays and who will suffer.

The majority of Canadians keep proving themselves stupid , or at least extremely controllable by propaganda. From Covid lockdowns and vaccine mandates to this.

There’s a lot of low info voters in Canada. We’ve been saying it since government was prorogued.

@Cdhd123 Good luck with that. For every dollar of GDP Canada makes, the US makes 15. Let’s see how that works out for Canada.

The past 60 years has proven that Canadians will always support the dumbest of multiple ideas.

Canadians overwhelmingly supported the COVID response. Anyone who would rather be in the majority than be right, are worse than stupid. They’re cowards.

Canada will get crucified economically - thanks to the Libtard fuckwad party who have decimated business with the exception of Alberta energy-Alberta would be smart to say adios Canada and keep the billions$ inside the province rather than subsidizing Quebec and Laurentian elites

No surprise. Canadians are not taught economics. That’s why they vote Liberal.

Canada WARNING: Highly unstable under current management. Side effects include random tariffs, Alberta exit plans, chronic apologies, and sudden urges to become the 51st state. May contain traces of actual freedom (Alberta only). Not recommended for free speech or affordable housing seekers. Handle with maple syrup and low expectations.

Canadians overwhelmingly are not very bright. They prefer governments think for them & end up reacting foolishly & emotionally.

Proving once again how stupid Canadians have become! Maybe one day you will learn as well that it’s not Trumps fault!

He is correct with one caveat. Carney is challenging the 20-year-old Tyson, and Canadians are going into the ring to take the beating.

You know who is behind the Canadian government cheering. Those it does not effect. Those retired living off the government, those on the welfare system living off the government and those working for the government. They will continue to get their government check every month.

I'm sure retaliatory tariffs are going to work out well for Canadians. Everyone's favorite is the Lutnick bombshell that was glossed over in favour of a banana republic approach of just "believing" a Gordie Howe bridge Prime Minister who refuses to release the details of the deal or be accountable to Canadians in the HoC.

The average Canadian isn’t that clever to not think this is a good idea. That’s the problem.

Brian, why not properly state "some Canadians support dollar for dollar retaliatory tariffs" The majority don't agree and retaliatory measures are like poking one's own eye.

Oh, praise him! Oh, please him! Oh, flatter the King! Tell him he’s brilliant! Let Donald Trump sing! Console him! Cajole him! Say, “Sir, what a win!” Then hope that he kindly Won’t kick your teeth in. Give him the headline, The trophy, the crown! Just smile while your leverage Gets bargained right down. “Perhaps the NEXT White House Will treat us more fair!” That’s quite the grand strategy: surrender — then prayer. No spine and no backbone, No line in the sand— Just bow to the bully And kiss the big hand. Call weakness “diplomacy,” Call grovelling “smart,” While Trump takes the whole pie And hands you a fart. That’s not how you bargain. That’s not how you lead. You don’t tame a bully By feeding his greed. So console and cajole him, Go flatter away— The Conservative strategy: “Yes, sir! Okay!”

Canada is being used as a pawn in some globalist fight to have the new world order. It is fu*king disgusting. People don't matter this is just a game to these elites like Carney and his buddies. They live so far away from the reality of the average person they could careless.

Canadians do not understand how much bigger the US economy is. "Winning" isnt possible. The only variable is how bad of a beating they want to take before giving up.

The problem is Brian, when Canadians make decisions such as these, they aren’t they’re reacting emotionally. And when we act impulsively, few things tend to turn out well. A less emotional test would be narrow and brutal: 1. What was the alternative package on 21 August, in writing? 2. Are Canadian real incomes and market access better than they would have been under that package? 3. Is housing supply actually doubling, or only the press releases? 4. After the wartime language fades, do people still want the same trade-off when prices and layoffs are visible? That’s why Liberals entice Elbows Up. They don’t want Canadians to think too hard about the trade deal, what they’ve lost from Carney walking away or what their lives will become as a result of their policies.

You can find someone, somewhere, to always give their opinions on anything. Canadians are free to have views of their own. They will have to live with them. Who knows who supports what. There’s a poll every day.

Professor Kam is right. Retaliatory tariffs will be paid by Canadians, making them a bizarre way to punish the US.
