Chicago needs federal oversight — not more excuses. At this point, the corruption is so deep that it’s clear: our neighborhoods will not stabilize without serious federal intervention, independent investigations, and accountability at the highest levels. The failures of leadership under Brandon Johnson, Governor Pritzker, Toni Preckwinkle, Stacy Davis-Gates, and Jackson Porter have contributed to a breakdown in public safety, financial mismanagement, and policies that are actively harming Chicago’s communities. Chicago residents deserve: •Federal investigations into corruption, property theft, and misuse of public funds •Oversight to protect vulnerable neighborhoods •Accountability for every leader and organization tied to these failures •Stability, safety, and transparency ALL HANDS ON DECK 🇺🇸🌹💫🎯 #ChicagoFlipsRed

BREAKING: Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has signed an executive order to resist federal agents arresting criminal illegal aliens in his city. “We may see militarized immigration enforcement. We may also see National Guard troops. We may even see active-duty military in armed vehicles in our streets.” “This sweeping executive order directs our department of law to pursue any and every legal mechanism to hold this administration accountable for violating the rights of Chicagoans.” CNN: “The mayor’s order provides guidance and directives to the city’s agencies and law enforcement ‘in the midst of escalating threats from the federal government.’” “The mayor’s order ‘affirms’ that Chicago police will not ‘collaborate with federal agents on joint law enforcement patrols, arrest operations, or other law enforcement duties including civil immigration enforcement.’” “The order also ‘urges’ federal law enforcement officers who operate in Chicago ‘to refrain from wearing masks, to wear and use body cameras and to identify themselves to members of the public with names and badge numbers.’”

Vice President of Chicago Flips Red and 2027 Chicago mayoral candidate Danielle Carter-Walters walks through 61st Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and points out what many Chicagoans can see with their own eyes. Chicago taxpayers deserve answers. For decades, billions of dollars have flowed through Chicago’s Tax Increment Financing (TIF) program with promises of neighborhood investment, economic development, affordable housing, infrastructure improvements, and job creation. Yet, as you walk through this community, a simple question remains: Where did the TIF money go? This neighborhood has voted overwhelmingly Democratic for decades. Residents deserve to see tangible results from the public dollars that were intended to strengthen their community—not just campaign promises every election cycle. Vacant lots. Aging infrastructure. Struggling commercial corridors. Longtime residents continue asking when the promised investment will reach their blocks. TIF dollars are generated from increased property tax revenue within designated districts. Taxpayers deserve to know how those funds have been allocated, which projects received funding, what benchmarks were established, and whether those investments produced the results that were promised. Chicago deserves transparency. Communities deserve accountability. Taxpayers deserve answers. On behalf of Chicago Flips Red, we send our deepest condolences to the family during this heartbreaking time. No words can ease the pain of such a loss, and our prayers are with you. What makes this even harder is knowing our city’s leaders Mayor Brandon Johnson , Governor JB Pritzker, and the Democrats, continue to gaslight, and ignore the suffering of residents while keeping themselves and their families safe. Crime is not down in our communities, or city, and families like yours are paying the price. At Chicago Flips Red, we are committed to fighting for safer neighborhoods, stronger communities, and real leadership that values every life. Together, we will take our city and state back so no more families have to endure this kind of tragedy. Donald J. Trump Karoline Leavitt

The threat of Mayor Brandon Johnson laying off up to 1,000 Chicago police officers while violent crime plagues the city highlights the consequences of progressive leadership. Radical spending priorities have pushed Chicago to a $98M budget deficit, and instead of cutting bloated bureaucratic waste, the administration is holding public safety hostage. Chicago’s hard-working taxpayers deserve safe streets, not "scare tactics" from City Hall that jeopardize the thin blue line. Defunding by mismanagement is still defunding. It is time to back the blue, cut the waste, and demand actual fiscal accountability.

Sanctuary City OUT. ICE IN. Defund the CTU. While our children are being used as political pawns during school hours, Chicago families are paying the price for failed leadership and misplaced priorities. Students are not activists. Schools are not organizing hubs. Taxpayers did not consent to their children being pulled into political theater. This is what happens when incompetence is protected, accountability is ignored, and union leadership is driven by radical ideology instead of education outcomes. Anyone continuing to fund or defend this behavior through CTU dues is enabling the problem. Chicago Flips Red will continue to protest the Chicago Teachers Union and apply pressure until federal authorities step in to restore oversight, accountability, and the rule of law. Our kids deserve classrooms — not indoctrination. Our city deserves leadership — not corruption. This does not stop here. Mayor Brandon Johnson reminded Chicago exactly who’s been draining this city: the ultra-wealthy corporations that received massive Trump-era tax cuts — while working families got cuts to SNAP, Medicaid, and the basic services they rely on. He made it clear that in a moment when the president is“declaring war on poor people,”the last thing Chicago should do is raise property, grocery, or garbage taxes on working-class families — the very taxes some aldermen are pushing. The Protecting Chicago Budget charts a different path. It invests in people, protects working-class neighborhoods, and demands that corporations finally pay their fair share. As the Mayor said,“This budget tells a story of abundance. There’s more than enough for everyone.” Aldermen voting against this budget are siding with billionaires and ultra-wealthy corporations. We demand that they protect Chicago, its schools and its families instead. Call your alder today and tell them to vote on the side of working-class Chicagoans — and pass the Protecting Chicago budget.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT – CHICAGO FLIPS RED December 30,2025 Yesterday, December 29, 2025, two public meetings were scheduled at City Hall: the Budget Committee meeting and the full Chicago City Council meeting. During these meetings, the Democratic-controlled City Council, acting under the direction of Budget Committee Chairman Jason Ervin (28th Ward), violated the First Amendment rights of Chicago Flips Red members Danielle Carter, Lanetta Thomas, and Jessica Jackson, while also violating the Illinois Open Meetings Act. This conduct is not isolated. For three consecutive years, beginning with Chicago Flips Red Founder Zoe Leigh, the City of Chicago has engaged in a pattern and practice of suppressing protected political speech—specifically when residents speak out against corruption, misuse, and alleged laundering of taxpayer dollars. Rather than address the substance of our concerns, the Johnson administration and City Council have increasingly relied on intimidation tactics, including the use of Chicago Police Department officers and the Sergeant-at-Arms to silence speakers. At recent meetings, 20–30 officers were deployed to remove individuals after they attempted to lawfully exercise their right to speak, often after being improperly denied access to the microphone. This is not public safety. This is government overreach. It resembles the very authoritarianism, discrimination, and racialized suppression that City leadership publicly claims to oppose. The hypocrisy is undeniable. Chicago Flips Red is now preparing to pursue legal action, including a civil rights lawsuit and potential class action, against: • The City of Chicago • The Chicago Police Department • Mayor Brandon Johnson • CPD Superintendent Larry Snelling • Deputy Mayor Garien Gatewood • The Sergeant-at-Arms • Budget Committee Chairman Jason Ervin The Constitution does not stop at the doors of City Hall. Public comment is not a privilege—it is a right. And Chicago residents will no longer be silenced. ALL HANDS ON DECK 🌹💫🇺🇸 #ChicagoFlipsRed

🚨 CHICAGO FLIPS RED: THIS IS WHY BRANDON JOHNSON HAS TO GO Chicago Flips Red watched Michael Young-Bey, his wife, and his daughter — a Chicago Public Schools student — go to City Hall countless times while their family was HOMELESS, begging their city government for help. They weren’t asking for political favors. They were asking for somewhere to live. We watched Michael stand before city officials again and again explaining that his family was homeless and needed assistance. Mayor Brandon Johnson proudly talks about being a former CPS teacher. Yet a homeless CPS student and her parents were repeatedly showing up at the very City Hall he runs asking for help — and this administration failed to get that family housed. Meanwhile, his administration made the migrant response a major priority, spending millions of taxpayer dollars on shelters, food and other services — including millions connected to 14 Parish’s migrant-meal contract. And what makes this even harder to watch? Black Chicago saw this family asking for help. Pastors saw it. Community leaders saw it. Black men in our communities saw it. And far too many did NOTHING. Now election season is coming, and suddenly everybody wants to organize, hold meetings and talk about protecting political power. WHERE WAS THAT ORGANIZING WHEN A BLACK FAMILY WITH A CPS STUDENT WAS HOMELESS AND BEGGING CITY HALL FOR HELP? That’s why voting Brandon Johnson out cannot be about Republican versus Democrat. Union workers. Homeowners. Renters. Parents. Seniors. Teachers. Police families. Small-business owners. THE WHOLE CITY HAS TO SHOW UP. And union members need to remember: YOU ARE THE UNION. You don’t have to vote the way union leadership tells you. If you believe Brandon Johnson failed Chicago families like the Young-Beys, 2027 is your opportunity to hold him accountable at the ballot box. Chicago watched. Chicago remembers. AND CHICAGO CAN VOTE HIM OUT. 🇺🇸 CHICAGO FLIPS RED Common Sense for Chicago 📍 DECEMBER 11, 2024 — MICHAEL YOUNG-BEY STOOD BEFORE MAYOR BRANDON JOHNSON AT CHICAGO CITY COUNCIL. #ChicagoFlipsRed

This is exactly why I am running for Mayor of Chicago. Everything I am running on, I have been fighting for for years. 17 SHOT. 4 DEAD. AND THE MAYOR IS IN MARTHA’S VINEYARD? While Chicago families were dealing with another weekend of violence, Mayor Brandon Johnson was away in Martha’s Vineyard attending events. According to Chicago police, at least 17 people were shot and four people lost their lives across the city over the weekend. This is the reality Chicagoans are facing. Families are grieving. Communities are hurting. People are asking one simple question. Who is protecting us? Millions of taxpayer dollars continue to be spent on programs like Community Violence Intervention, yet Chicagoans deserve to know: Where is the accountability? Who is receiving the money? What measurable results are we seeing? What has changed for the people living with this violence every day? Chicago cannot afford leaders who are absent when the city needs them most. As Mayor, I will make public safety my top priority. I will make sure our police have the resources they need, our neighborhoods have the protection they deserve, and Chicagoans know their government is standing with them. No more excuses. No more politics over people. Chicagoans deserve safety. Chicagoans deserve leadership. Chicagoans deserve better. Danielle Carter-Walters for Mayor 2027 #commonsensecarter #justicecarter

BREAKING: Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson says "the entire country" is "now at stake" because of illegal immigration. Gee, if only there was a group of people saying this for years on end. In a desperate plea for funding from the federal government, Johnson said that "it won’t just be the city of Chicago that won’t be able to maintain this mission. It’s the entire country that is now at stake." "We have roughly 15,000 people living in shelters, temporary shelters, here in Chicago... 27 shelters total. And 4,500 children in our Chicago public schools system, providing health care." What happened to being a welcoming Sanctuary City?

Black trauma has become a trillion-dollar business for government. President Donald J. Trump has previously sought to deploy federal resources, including the National Guard, to Chicago, but Governor JB Pritzker and Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul challenged some of his administration’s actions in court. Meanwhile, Mayor Brandon Johnson has chosen not to bring back ShotSpotter. We are losing Chicagoans to violence every day. Many residents believe Illinois, Cook County, and Chicago leaders have failed to do enough to address the ongoing violence affecting our communities. Taxpayers fund multiple layers of government and law enforcement, yet families continue to bury loved ones while elected officials debate politics. People need help. Families need help. Communities need help. The violence continues, and many Chicagoans fear the situation will only get worse unless something changes.
