Coal prices have risen internationally but Ukraine had nothing to do with #energy prices rising in Australia. Investment in #solar and #wind is to blame. It is important that the government in this country start facing reality and stop hiding the problem. The #Ukraine has nothing to do with #coal prices in this country. In fact, Australian coal prices did not rise at all under their existing long term contracts for our #coal-fired power stations. The government must stop misleading parliament that rising electricity prices in Australia are due to a war in the Ukraine. Massive solar and wind #subsidies are the cause of Australians suffering some of the highest #electricity prices in the world. Every time a coal fired power station is shut in this country we see yet the another spike in our power bills because unreliable #renewables cannot provide the same inexpensive baseload power supply. This government's Safeguard Mechanism Bill will add even more fines to reliable coal-fired power and yet more pain for Australian households. #UnitedNations #ClimateScam #Australia

Why is it okay for Australian coal to be shipped to China, but not for us to use that same coal here? I'm at the Port of Gladstone with Dave Harris, One Nation candidate for Flynn. We've just seen a ship carrying Australian coal to an overseas market. We watch China build 2 new coal plants weekly using OUR coal and we are blowing ours up! Only One Nation's policy supports building more coal-fired power stations that will cut electricity costs by 50% in three years. It's time to put a stop to these destructive policies that are destroying our economy and putting financial strain on everyday Australians. It's time to vote One Nation!

Mines Minister Polite Kambamura says Government plans incentives to attract coal investment and will withdraw licences from companies that delay developing their mining assets. Earlier this year, Government cancelled RioZim Energy’s licence over the Sengwa coal deposit, citing lack of development. “Wait for some time… this coal will turn into GOLD.” 🤯 Believe it or not, this was allegedly enough to cheat 11 people of nearly ₹1 CRORE in Hyderabad. Hyderabad Police have busted a bizarre “Gupta Nidhulu” racket where the gang convinced people that hidden treasure was buried beneath their homes. They would dig the ground, secretly plant a sack containing coal and fake gold coins, perform the act, and then tell the victims that the coal needed some time to transform into gold. By the time people realised coal wasn’t becoming gold, the gang was gone. Police identified the accused as: Mohd Munawar alias Munna, Gudimalkapur Syed Ali Ashraf, Farhan Nagar, Jawahar Nagar Mohd Haji, Balaji Nagar, Jawahar Nagar Mohd Salman, Yadagiripally, Keesara Shamshabad Task Force, along with Rajendra Nagar Police, arrested the four and seized 25 fake gold coins, 6 kg coal, 4 kg soil, pooja material, 2 cars, an auto, 2 motorcycles and 4 phones. In India, government documents show the state of Rajasthan will need 4,400 MW of new coal power by 2036, while nationally India is projecting a 40% expansion in coal-fired capacity to over 300 GW by the mid-2030s (despite its Net Zero pledge). China tells a similar story. In 2025, China's fossil fuel production hit record levels. Coal reached an all-time high. Oil surpassed its 2015 peak. Natural gas also hit a new all-time record. While the west constrains supply, raises prices and de-industrializes under-carbon targets, the east is doing the opposite: building. There is no global emissions clampdown, no shared sacrifice. The west tightens its CO2 belt. The east lets it out - and gorges.
