This is an oldie but ever so applicable with summer coming to a close in the northern hemisphere. That rough around the greens is healthy and happy. Try this if you are less than 2 feet into the rough. It’s a great escape shot to have in your arsenal! Ball behind trail foot / Putter delofted to project the ball INTO the turf / You’ll typically hit this shot softer than you might anticipate / Ball will pop up and over the rough before landing in the fringe and trickling up to the hole. Give it a go!

Here's the scary part. An earlier release that creates just 2 degrees less shaft lean at impact is the difference between a flush strike and laying a divot over the ball. This is just another reason why your golf swing can feel the same from swing to swing, yet produce incredibly different results. The thing I help hitters with the most.. (1 good way to train it👇🏼) They start on time but never actually get loaded to GO. They think they’re ready. They’re not. So they start earlier next time. Same problem. —— This is a conversation I have with almost every hitter. When is the right time for you? - Based on your load style - Based on how long your load takes - Based on the pitcher’s velo, windup, or slide step —— If that’s you, try a “loaded at release” type load. Bobby Witt. Judge. Get your hip and elbow loaded early. Then stride with it ready to fire. “The pitcher is up there for 20 seconds telling you to get ready. Shame on you if you’re not ready to swing.” ____ If I have you in the cage, what I’ll do is have you get into a no stride position, get ready to swing and I stand there for 1-4 seconds… Holding my hand out over the plate ready to snap my fingers. When I snap, you swing. Do that 4-5x. You get the quickness, readiness feeling. Then we go back to stride with moving ball and you’re trying to time up that same GO move with the ball With your foot up in the air and the GO will make the foot go down. Not foot down then swing. That typically kills quickness. This works 95% of the time I’d say! —— > Send this to a hitter who needs it > Save it for when you need it.

Here is a drill to help you learn what it feels like to use the ground and start to sequence effectively. Notice how the club is setup in the video between my feet. Get to your back swing and jump favoring your lead foot left and laterally like I am. With that feeling step in and hit one. Not where you are pushing off from when you swing and try and get that into a feeling that makes sense to you. This is how power is created in the golf swing. This is also where physical limitations can show up.

Middle infielders: I’m a believer in taking the throw from in-front of the bag on a stolen-base attempt. The main reason why: Catchers aren’t always going to put the ball on the bag. A common miss is arm side, causing the throw to tail towards first base. When you're in-front, you have freedom to move toward a bad throw without the runner sliding underneath or into you. You can catch it, make the tag, and potentially keep a bad throw from getting into center field. If you straddle the bag, your range can become limited once the runner starts sliding in. In order to do this, you must LET THE BALL TRAVEL Don't reach out, catch it early, and then bring your glove back to the runner. You're wasting valuable time. Let the ball travel over the bag and make a quick tag. If he's out → quick tag If he's safe → tag and HOLD IT. Give him a chance to come off the bag. Get in-front Let the ball travel Catch it late Tag quickly

Slant Step + Tackle Drill 👇 How to run it: 1️⃣ Line up on the opposite side of a bag so you’re forced to slant into your new gap 2️⃣ DO NOT slant sideways!! always gain ground on your first step 3️⃣ First step: slant upfield on an angle into your new gap 4️⃣ Second step: go vertical, & penetrate 5️⃣ Finish with a form tackle on the donut bag 6️⃣ Rep both sides and rotate your whole unit through it in indy

STOP KILLING YOUR GEARBOX 😡😡😡🤬 (Correct sequence to park an automatic car ) You’ve been parking your automatic car the wrong way for years, and it is slowly destroying your transmission. Most people just pull into a spot, slam the gear into P (Park), and then pull the handbrake. If you’re doing this, you are literally asking your gearbox to hold the entire weight of your car. Here is the Right way to do it in 5 steps: 1. Come to a full stop with your foot on the brake. 2. Shift the gear to N (Neutral). 3. Pull your Handbrake (or engage the electronic parking brake) with your foot still on the foot brake 4. Engage Parking Gear 5. Remove Your Foot from the Brakes. Why should you do this? Inside your transmission, there’s a tiny metal pin called a Parking Pawl. When you put the car in Park (P) without using the handbrake first, that tiny pin is the only thing stopping your car from rolling away. If you are parked on a hill or a slope, the stress on that pin is massive. Have you ever noticed that loud, painful CLUNK sound when you try to shift out of Park on a hill or slope? That’s the sound of your transmission screaming. You are literally forcing the gears to grind against that pinned-up weight. Over time, you’re rounding off the edges of that metal pin or, worse, snapping it. The handbrake was designed to hold the weight of the car onto the chassis frame. The transmission was designed to shift gears. Stop making the gearbox do the heavy lifting. Except of course you want to replace it regularly (that's not cheap). You're welcome 🤝🏾 .
