Giga Texas Cortex 2 continues to see more Megapacks arrive today & be installed, while a new paving project is underway today for roads & large apron sections around the W, S & E sides of the datacenter. The chiller plant construction & assembly continues at a quick pace, while new permits for temporary chiller units match up with on-site trailered units on the SE side!

While everyone is thinking about Cybercabs, FSD, the new Advanced Technology Fab and more, don’t forget Tesla Optimus needs a place for his body to be built, and that new 10M/year factory is seeing a lot of foundation work today on the N end of Giga Texas! More Sentez | Geopier work creating piers in the ground to support the future structure, defined earthwork in the middle section and more grade work on the N & S sides of the construction site! This is going to be fun to watch come together!

Another major construction project at Tesla Giga Texas today is the new test track on the far SW of the property! A large “oval” like outer track with what looks like a smaller oval track is definitely taking shape, and of course there will be support structures and more added as this project continues to make progress. Overall, the amount of construction around the Giga Texas project is approaching the original effort to make the main factory almost 6 years ago! It’s hard to keep track of it all, but I’m trying! Such an amazing story that has been, & continues to happen here just east of Austin!

13 May 2026 Giga Texas Snapshots! Progress at all 4 major construction sites today, including the E Advanced Chip Fab site with more relocation of workshops, materials and vehicles, soil sample drill rigs at work & more. The N Optimus factory foundation continues to make progress too, especially with the site drying up. GeoPiers, Rebar cages, pedestal footings & three levels of grade evident today. Cortex 2 prep for more Megapacks today, with transformer installation nearing completion & part 2 of the cooling system coming together. The new test track is getting more asphalt laid down in several different locations & some infield grade work too. There are vehicles on some of the paved driving surfaces to give a better sense of scale and width of the road surfaces! Cybertruck production still seems fairly slow, but I’m hoping to see this pick up. For the 1st time I’ve observed, over 70 Cybercabs were in the outbound lot today in three main groups & some driving around. Lots more to see today & I hope you enjoy this snapshots video clip!

Cybercabs are multiplying at Giga Texas today, with some driving on the EOL test track, & a great opportunity to see a matte wrapped & production glossy gold versions side by side … great way to see the difference up close! About 40-50 Cybercabs all over the site today, including some testing out the factory exit to the W EOL facility routes, many of the prototypes at the Crash Testing facility today (possibly for recycling) and more! This short video clips show the test driving & comparison between the older and production versions!

29 May 2026 Giga Texas Snapshots! AS I get ready to head off to Europe for a few weeks to attend the Tesla Club Austria Takeover Europe event, Here is an extended snapshots video clip showing a site absolutely brimming with activity. Today is also a rare production day to make up for the holiday on Monday. Cybercabs all over the place today, exiting the factory, driving in the outbound lot for transport pickup, many with their hatches open prepping for final inspections and more! The refreshed Tesla Semi with extended cab removed at the Crash Testing facility today too! Construction in 4 major sites is really moving along today too, including more steel erection at the N Optimus factory site, and the extension ground reclamation work continues to progress. The E Advanced Tech Chip fab shows more earth preparation and Cortex 2 part 2 of the cooling system getting 4 of these 6 fan units installed while more Megapacks have arrived and are being installed. The SW Test Track is also getting work done on it, with some new excavation work and pipe installation along with new concrete curbs. So mush more to see today and I hope you enjoy this slightly loner snapshots look at the factory today. See you in a few weeks!

Big news at the new Optimus 10m/y factory construction site today! The 1st steel structure has been erected & as expected the second phase of land reclamation is underway. This will allow this new factory to grow to nearly the same length as the main Giga Texas factory, although it will be a few hundred feet (~50 - 70 m) narrower. If you did not realize the massive size of this new factory, this should tell you all you need to know! A lot of steel beams & columns were being delivered to the site today and using the new staging yard in the nearby “lone tree” field. Check out this short clip showing the expansion, the steel structure & more of the foundation work!

At least 15 more glossy & deep gold Cybercabs at the Giga Texas outbound lot today, with more working their way over from the main factory. These all appear to be equipped with the Steering wheel & pedal kits, so probably headed out to more locations around the country for testing … I’m sure we will see more images of these on the roads soon!

Giga Texas News! A brand-new, stand-alone factory is starting construction! This follows the Shareholders meeting & info that a 10-million-per-year Tesla Optimus production facility "on the Giga Texas campus" will be built & enter into production in 2027! Here are some details! Land clearing on the E side, River Road expansion & several construction projects are already underway! In addition, the Giga Texas Riverfront Ecological Park project is proceeding along the same time frame & when completed, will allow public access to new sports parks, trails, water access & nature areas. We will see all of this throughout 2026 as Tesla prepares for the start of production in 2027!

The Giga Texas Optimus Factory has made a lot of progress with ground work, GeoPiers & now the steel superstructure which has grown to 4 Floors, at least in the sender section! This is similar to the main factory construction and I suspect we will see varying levels throughout the structure as it continues to build out. This means that with the extension work to the south to reclaim even more land to further lengthen the structure, it will have a meaningful % of the 11 Million Sq Ft of the main factory, so this is truly becoming a massive factory! A large steel staging yard in nearby in the “lone tree” field & several large cranes are at work actively adding more steel as they build out from the center, again, very similar to how the main factory was constructed. Check it out!

Giga Texas is preparing for a massive expansion & a new permit hints at what this will be … a new “North Campus” is coming to the site, & ground prep, clearing & more is underway.
