Contract work, project overall under NDA, was allowed to post my wip portion, which is semi procedural ship generator/editor and some rendering. No point asking about other details, no follow up in foreseeable future, have a great day! #gamedev #indiedev

admit it, you are working with Ubisoft on the pirate game they were supposed to make in the first place. 🤪

Well, no, but full disclosure: I like S&B quite a lot, at least I did before seasonal mastery which completely broke open world PvP sadly.

Dope stuff!

Thanks!

😍😍😍

I knew you are going to like it :D

Aye! 😁

in the game do you get to sail your vessles?

Can't say much more about the project, however: "I would hope so" ;)

I know of projects which would have saved so much time if they had this.

Right? :) This was fundamentally few days of work, planking is fairly nice (should have showcased it in video, ops)

@A_Spec few days?! fuck my life that's impressive! Makes me want to drop current pet and return working on this one 🥲

@A_Spec This looks great!

So cool 🥵

Thank you! :)

naval architect!

I think I wishlisted this !

is this .js ?

Nope nope, it's normal desktop, DX 12

Stunsels!

Now you need ocean

My guess is "Ship shaper"

Nope, they have their own, very cool, system and as far as I am aware, completely different goals as gameplay and rest of the project goes :)

wtf amazing! how

How do you have time for everything man? xD

Keeping procedural generation editable while preserving coherent ship silhouettes is the real achievement here. It doesn’t look like random kitbashing, it looks like an entire design language encoded into a tool. Serious hive-mind engineering. 🐝
