Current violence in Kashmir did not erupt in isolation. Credible inputs indicate that elements backed by ISI exploited the situation to trigger unrest. What began as peaceful gatherings was deliberately hijacked by anti-national elements (ANEs) who pushed Shia and Sunni youth toward coordinated stone pelting on security forces. The... intent was clear: provoke a reaction, create confrontation, capture selective visuals, and malign the image of forces maintaining law and order. Peaceful voices were sidelined. The narrative was engineered. Kashmir has seen this pattern before. When peaceful sentiment is manipulated for strategic optics, it is the common people who suffer the consequences. Stability is not threatened by peaceful protest. It is threatened when hidden hands turn it into orchestrated violence. What is equally concerning is the role of certain political actors. Leaders like Aga Ruhullah and Junaid Mattoo amplified provocative content on social media. Instead of calming tempers, they chose to inflame passions. Such conduct raises serious questions about whose interests they truly represent. History has shown that in every fort there emerges a “Mir Jafar”. [WATCH] THE PRESIDENT WILL NOT RESIGN. When it comes to the President, there is always a distinctive role between him being the President of the party and the state. There are many factors that influence the state in terms of governance and stability. If the President is called upon by some to resign and he keeps quiet it can throw the state into a state of turmoil. I want to make it clear that the officials agreed with the President on his approach, he took us into confidence and explained the factors that led him to make that particular pronouncement. We believe that the President did the right thing in pronouncing in the best interest of South Africa that he will not be resigning. There was nothing in terms of the judgment that warranted the President to resign it was just mere calls made by individuals and political parties that wanted to throw our country into a state of turmoil, uncertainty and anxiety. So it was imperative that he focus on that. It was correct for him to tell the country that from where he is standing there is nothing in the judgement that states he has done any wrongdoing and what he is going to do with the options in front of him and he has made this public. The President will take the Section 89 Report on review based on the outcome of the judgment and the legal advice he has received. There are no daggers out for the President to resign just opportunistic elements. These elements do not know what they want, they want to impeach and want him to resign, they do know what they actually want. The veracity of the report has not been tested in any committee so they don’t have a basis for the President to resign.

BYC condemns the use of force against the family members of Zaheer Baloch and other peaceful protesters in the strongest terms. Today, the 11-day sit-in protest by the families of forcibly disappeared Baloch individuals was attacked by the forces when they were marching towards the Red Zone. Elderly men, women, and children were subjected to brutal violence, including live firing. Dozens of protesters were taken into custody and shifted to unknown locations. For decades, the state institutions' response to peaceful demonstrations has been violence and intimidation. There is an expectation that we will deliver an effective response to the destruction of an entire population and a peaceful path for preserving the prospect of a viable Palestinian State existing side by side with the State of Israel in peace and security. These sources did not step forward for fame. They stepped forward because they believed in something greater than themselves. I know what we ask of people who work in the shadows. I know the weight of that ask and I know that when a nation stops honoring its word to the people who sacrificed the most, it has lost something far more valuable than any intelligence asset.
