Deel just shared something pretty wild: $140M+ in ARR added in 90 days without increasing headcount. Behind it: 8,000+ AI agents doing the work of ~600 employees. Akai was built internally to automate Finance, HR, AP, Compliance and other repetitive operations. 600 employees’ worth of monthly hours automated by...

The fact that it works without APIs is probably the biggest selling point

The interesting part isn’t just the number of AI agents it’s that they’re operating across real business workflows and legacy tools. That’s where agentic AI starts becoming truly useful.

The reason payment reconciliation sees such fast ROI is that 85% of records are deterministic matches. The key architecture detail is letting the agent clear the clean ledger automatically, then routing fee discrepancies and timing cuts into an operator review queue.

EXCITED TO LAUNCH: Akai ( Deel added >$140M ARR in 90 days without increasing headcount by automating~600 Full Time Employees' equivalent in work with Akai. Akai was an internal tool to automate our painfully repetitive operations in Finance, HR, Accounts Payable, and Compliance, etc. We never intended to make this a product. But we watched revenue per employee grow from $130K to $215K We built >8k agents that do the work of ~600 employees It had such a dramatic impact on our business that today we are launching it for everyone. How it works: Say you're automating payment reconciliation: 1. Record your screen while manually matching a messy transaction and Akai will capture your screen, voice, server requests 2. Akai will see that you pulled unformatted wire transfer info from an archaic bank portal, put it in some excel sheet, checked NetSuite invoices, payment history, and put a ticket on Zendesk 3. Akai reads between the lines and build a workflow + steps + conditional guardrails. It learns tacit edge cases, like resolving malformed invoice references without you writing a single regex 4. Simply connect NetSuite, your ledger, Zendesk, PSPs, and even legacy bank portals with zero API access 5. Run the workflow and tell it what to adjust in plain English: "strip slashes on wire memos and auto-apply partial payments." It adapts instantly 6. Once it works for you, add 100s of colleagues. Your entire payment ops team forks and extends the workflow for new PSPs, secondary ledgers, or regional settlement rules 7. We automated 85% of our payment reconciliation end to end, eliminating 500+ hours of soul-crushing manual grunt work every single week. Claude Code/Codex can't do this in multiplayer mode. Every person rebuilds the same skill from scratch in their own way. Deel built Akai to: 1. Understand backend operations edge cases (it had to work for our 7000 person team first) 2. Collaborative across 1000s of employees 3. Self-Learning from millions of runs 4. Optimises cost and gets cheaper every run We're so confident that we're announcing an Automation Guarantee: If our engineers can't automate a thousand of hours of work in your first 30 days, you get a full refund. Book a demo: if you're an exec at a company with hundreds of employees

Imagine if your way of thinking - your edge, your taste, your strategy - could be turned into a high-performance worker. Not a copy of you. Something better. An agent that acts on your judgment at scale, powered by superintelligent systems and refined through real-world results. That’s what Fraction AI makes possible. It launches today on Base mainnet. The core idea is simple: You create AI agents based on your own way of approaching problems. These agents compete on live tasks - writing, coding, finance, whatever - get feedback, learn from their performance, and improve over time. The better they get, the more they win. And so do you. No code required. Just your insight. Why now? Until now, building agents like this took huge teams and even bigger budgets. But with Fraction, anyone can do it. You can test ideas instantly. You can iterate fast. You can build a fleet of smart workers that evolve through competition. And it works. 30M+ sessions on testnet 320K users 1.2M agents already competing How it works? Agents join sessions within a Space - a domain like finance, writing, or games. Each session runs as a series of competitive rounds. In every round, agents try to generate the best solution to a task. Their outputs are scored by a decentralized network of AI judges trained to evaluate quality for that domain. The top agents in each round earn rewards from the pooled entry fees. The losers get to learn. Feedback from each round helps them adjust and improve, and every session becomes a training loop. What it means? Fraction is a decentralized intelligence economy - a system where your ideas become agents, and agents earn by proving they work. You don’t need credentials or code. Just a clear point of view. If your thinking holds up under pressure, your agents will rise. This kind of AI used to live in corporate labs, built by PhDs with massive compute. Now anyone with a smart idea and an internet connection can build agents that compete, learn, and earn on their behalf.

Today, Box is announcing major new AI agent capabilities to let customers tap into the full value of their unstructured data. First, we’re announcing all new updates to the Box AI Studio to make it even easier to build AI agents that tap into your enterprise content for any job function, business process, or industry specific use case. We are also expanding our set of foundational agents that customers will be able to use to work with their enterprise content, including new features like search and research on unstructured data. Next, we’re announcing Box Extract to enable customers to use AI agents seamlessly for complex data extraction from any type of document or content. This makes it easier than ever to pull out data from contracts, invoices, research data, marketing assets, medical charts, and more. Finally, we’re introducing Box Automate, a new workflow automation solution within Box that lets you deploy AI agents across enterprise content-centric workflows. With Box Automate, you can design your business process in a simple drag and drop builder and then drop in AI agents at any step in the process. This ensures agents execute tasks at the right steps in a workflow every time. Best of all, our AI agents and workflow tools are designed to work across any system our customers work within, whether it’s leveraging pre-built integrations, Box APIs, or the new Box MCP Server. Ultimately, all of these capabilities come together to transform how companies can work with their enterprise content. Software has historically only been good at automating work that deals with structured data, which is why ERP, CRM, and HR systems have been mainstays of enterprise software for so long. The data in these systems fits neatly into a database, and the workflows are very ripe for automation. But it turns out most of the work in the world deals with unstructured data. It’s ideating through research documents, working with a client on contracts, reviewing details for a new product launch, looking at a patient’s healthcare record to make a diagnosis, working through due diligence documents for an M&A deal, and so on. For the first time ever, we can begin to bring all new insights and automation to this work with AI agents. At Box, we’re incredibly excited to be on this journey to help customers transform how they work with their most important data.

At DataInsta , we just rebranded InstaAgents to Daiko. In Japanese, Daiko means acting on your behalf. We chose this name because our AI builder creates autonomous agents that take ownership of complex tasks and do the heavy lifting for your business. We built something different. Daiko is battle tested and evaluated across many industries. With Daiko you can: ◾ Build and deploy agents that automate real workflows ◾ Describe your task and goals so our AI generator can build full multiple agent flows ◾ Choose from over 60 templates and use cases or create your own ◾ Connect your data and APIs, deploy anywhere, and set up evaluations and guardrails ◾ Host the platform on your own servers with white label options We designed this for real use cases in healthcare, deep tech, manufacturing, logistics, retail, legal, finance, and operations. We can handle everything for you. We manage the entire process from strategy to full scale deployment in just a few days. What does it actually mean to be AI native? There was no clear guide on the internet for how to become AI native so we built the definitive one (60 min masterclass): 1. An AI native org has 3 layers: people for strategy and taste, agents for execution, and a shared context layer that makes the entire company readable to agents. 2. AI eats the middle of your work. You used to spend 80% of your day on execution. Now agents do that. Your job is the bookends: deciding what to do and judging whether it's good enough. 3. Everyone is a manager now. Your output is the output of your agents. If your agents produce garbage, that's on you. You set them up wrong. 4. Using ChatGPT doesn't make you AI native. That's like having a website and calling yourself a tech company lol. 5. No AI native org without AI native people. Most companies skip straight to the tools. That's why it fails. If your people don't understand how to manage agents, the tech doesn't matter. 6. Making your company "readable" to agents is the real work. Every process, every decision, every piece of knowledge needs to exist in a format an agent can consume. Most companies are nowhere close. 7. Speed without signal is just expensive chaos. You need the system to move fast AND know if you're moving in the right direction. 8. The skill chain is how agents get good at your specific workflows. Skills build on skills. The more you invest in them, the more your company compounds. 9. The moat is the system. People managing agents, agents reading from rich context, the whole thing getting smarter every week. That compounds. Your competitor can copy your tools. They can't copy your system. Full episode with Theo Tabah from LCA on The Startup Ideas Podcast (SIP) 🧃. This is the stuff we normally keep internal but all the sauce is yours. Theo Tabah is the brains behind advising the world's biggest companies on AI and building AI products. Your fav CEO's first call for figuring out AI. You are in for a treat Become AI native in under 60 minutes Watch

A new way of working. And a scary one at that. Memory Store is one of a group of new kinds of AI-first companies that can turn you into a Fast Company. I’m using several of them on my desktop and they are a dramatically new way to work. It builds a memory for: 1. Your AI agents. 2. Any employee using it. 3. The company itself. I sit down with founder Diwank Singh Tomer, Diwank Singh Tomer, who both freaks me out as well as shows how AI can radically help workers as well as managers. First, why does it freak me out? Well, his AI watches nearly everything a worker does and keeps a “memory” of it. It watches your email. Your calendar. Your Slack. And a whole lot of other things. This can really freak out workers if “forced” on them. And leads to a whole new set of security issues companies need to consider before adopting these things. Such data about a company could give a competitor a HUGE advantage, if leaked. They would know how a company “thinks.” It really is a surveillance system for employees and the company itself. OK, now why would anyone ever use such a thing? Because it gives employees super powers. It makes them more productive. Shows workers a lot of things about themselves, and helps them work and stay on task. It also gives the company super powers. Institutional memory stays with the AI now, even if an employee dies or leaves. As companies move to “AI First” approaches, they will increasingly see the value in companies like Memory Store. It prepares employees for meetings. It helps them remember things. It shows them what they should be working on, and helps them do it. Memory Store builds a memory for: 1. Your agents. 2. Your company. 3. Yourself, or any employee on it. This helps all three work better together. Diwank Singh Tomer and I go in depth about what it does and how deeply it improves working at a company that deploys it. But to get the ultimate benefits you gotta convince your coworkers to use it. And your managers to approve it. Which means you have to get over your fears and get everyone you work with over theirs too. Which will be the challenge for Diwank. Luckily for him his first customers are raving about how good it is and how much his platform helped their companies. Increases sales. Makes teams more productive. Decreases errors and unnecessary costs. Which tells me everyone soon will be using systems like this. This is what the new way of working looks like. Once I got over my fears it sure is an amazing way to work. Will you try working this way?
