💔💔DO YOU REMEMBER LITTLE DAVE THE PUG?? Our gorgeous Dave, now known as Chance, finally got the second chance he so deserved. Only a few months ago, little Dave was found outside a house, abandoned in the hail, rain, and snow. The poor boy was trying to sleep and shelter wherever he could, under a doorway and even in a plant pot. 💔💔💔💔 It was absolutely heartbreaking. A kind woman found them, and as always the MLHR team got there as quickly as possible. Tonight they're safe, warm, and being cared for. They're only around 3 to 4 weeks old. They should be with their mammy, not fighting for a chance at life.💔💔💔 Tomorrow morning they'll be straight to our vet, and the bills will begin. 💔 OUR HEARTS ARE BREAKING FOR POOR LIAM 💔💔💔💔 Yesterday we rescued this tiny, terrified little whippet from around the Mulhuddart area, Dublin. Thanks to the incredible locals who found where he was hiding and alerted us, we were able to get to him.❤️💔 He was absolutely emaciated, covered in dry, damaged skin and shaking uncontrollably. 💔💔💔 His leg was badly broken. He was so weak and frail that we had to carry him through the fields💔💔💔 With the help of our dogs, he finally trusted us enough to come out. We brought him straight to Village Vets Ashbourne, who took him in immediately and have cared for him amazingly ❤️❤️❤️ Today, after X-rays and consultations, we got the devastating news that Liam's leg cannot be saved. 💔💔💔POOR GOAT💔💔💔 This poor goat was found in a wasteland area of Dublin. Alongside the Dublin City Council Animal Welfare Unit Team, we spent a long time patiently trying to gain his trust. Eventually, we managed to get him to safety. The poor thing had a rope wrapped so tightly around his two large horns that it had been knotted in place. It was heartbreaking to see. 💔💔 It was obvious he'd been tied up and secured to a brick in the field, with no sign of water, left alone, frightened, and vulnerable.💔😡 What is going on? We really need to do better as a country. Animals deserve kindness, care, and protection. A goat should never be abandoned in a City, tied to a brick and left to fend for himself. 💔 💔💔WE LEFT BORRIS CARLOW HEARTBROKEN, ANGRY AND ASKING: HOW IS THIS ALLOWED TO HAPPEN?💔😡😡😡 Yesterday our MLHR team made an emergency trip to the horse fair in Borris, Co. Carlow, and what we witnessed was devastating. Horses left without food or water, exhausted and some in terrible condition. One young horse, only around a year old, was covered in ringworm, had just one shoe and was desperately weak. He was being sold for €150. Thankfully, we managed to get him out before he was sold. He is now safe with us and receiving veterinary care. ❤️‍🩹 But it wasn't only the horses. We witnessed people shooting pellet guns at locals and at animals. One mare who was shot with a pellet gun went running up the street with her goal following, heart breaking , 😡😡💔💔💔💔 We also tried desperately to help two puppies, but by the time we found a Garda who was willing to help us, the puppies had disappeared.😡💔 At one point, a member of our MLHR team was also put in danger. We raised our concerns with Boris An Garda Síochána , but we were deeply disappointed that we did not feel the seriousness of the situation was being taken as seriously as it should have been.💔😡 We always work and highly respect an garda Siochana , some of our volunteers and friends are Gardaí, which is why this experience was particularly upsetting. We left Borris angry, heartbroken and exhausted, wondering how this level of suffering can be allowed to happen in Ireland. And this isn't just about Borris. These fairs happen across the country. PLEASE, DON'T LOOK AWAY.💔💔💔 If you see animals being neglected, denied food or water, injured, sick or in danger, REPORT IT. Document what you safely can and speak up. And please help us care for the pony we managed to rescue. His veterinary treatment, medication, feed, farrier care and rehabilitation will all cost money. SUNDAY EMERGENCY 💔💔 Two lovely guys found this poor boy nearly knocked down earlier this evening. They stopped, put him in their car and brought him straight to us💔❤️ He had been dumped in a ditch, his bed dumped there beside him. SUNDAY EMERGENCY 💔💔 Two lovely guys found this poor boy nearly knocked down earlier this evening. They stopped, put him in their car and brought him straight to us💔❤️ He had been dumped in a ditch, his bed dumped there beside him. Left like he meant nothing 💔💔💔💔💔 How can anyone do that to such a beautiful, gentle soul? Thankfully, he is safe with us now. Tomorrow he’ll see the vet and finally get the care he deserves. ❤️ But this is our reality. 24/7, all over the country. Today it’s this boy. RIP Bradley Cooper 💔💔💔💔 Today, we said our goodbyes to a truly sweet gentleman, an old soul with so much love to give. Bradley came to us diagnosed with cancer, along with his best friend Bobby, the St. Bernard. While Bobby was young and found his forever home, poor Bradley needed palliative care. Thanks to his angel, MLHR Laura, Bradley spent his final days surrounded by love. Sadly, his illness progressed quickly. This morning, weak and in pain, he was given pain relief by the vet and was able to spend his last moments at his favorite place, the beach. Sand on his paws, sun on his face, and surrounded by kindness 💔💔 Bradley experienced joy and so much love ❤️ Bradley never received the care he deserved before coming to us. His previous owner neglected him, letting him and Bobby suffer, something that makes our hearts ache and our anger rise 😡 If only he had cared for Bradley as he should have, perhaps Bradley would still be with us today. But today was about Bradley. Today was about love. Today was about making his last day beautiful, full of comfort, happiness, and dignity. Mr. Bradley Cooper, you were never just a dog, you were a cuddle monster, a legend, and a beloved member of the MLHR family ❤️ We will love you forever. We are so sorry this world let you down, but we are so grateful for the time we had with you, and for the joy and love you brought into our lives. Rest in peace, sweet Bradley Cooper. Meet our latest boy, Ernest ❤️ Sadly, Ernest was owned by an elderly gentleman who could no longer care for him. For years, poor Ernest spent every day on his own. Donkeys thrive on companionship, and being alone is so hard for them, so we knew we had to make room for him here at My Lovely Horse Rescue Farm. Today marks the first day of Ernest’s new life. He’ll soon meet the other donkeys and, we hope, make lifelong friends. He’ll finally have companions to chat with, scratch backs with, and just be a donkey. 💔 ANOTHER HEARTBREAKER 💔💔💔 This poor baby was found hiding in bushes… terrified, alone, and suffering. Thankfully, our incredible volunteer MLHR Lauren showed patience and kindness, slowly gaining his trust until she was finally able to bring him to safety. He’s only 5 months old. Emaciated. Covered in mange. Frightened of the world around him. 💔 And as if that wasn’t enough… a cable had been tied tightly around his tiny neck. The pain and cruelty this little boy has endured is unimaginable. We are beyond heartbroken and angry. 💔💔🤬🤬 THIS POOR DOG WAS STRAYING, TERRIFIED OF EVERYTHING 🤬🤬🤬💔💔💔💔 This boy has been straying for nearly a month according to locals - he’s so frightened of humans, we mean absolutely petrified, running blind kind of scared! No one was able to catch him despite community effort and we knew he was going to get injured on the road. We got a call today from a local who had been feeding him, he said he was in his hedge and couldn’t move… we were there in minutes, not knowing what condition this boy would be in 💔 We freed him from the thick hedging, got love him, he shook the whole way to safety. He’s finally safe in our care and being assessed by our vet now 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 will update later ! AN EMOTIONAL AFTERNOON 💔 We spent the whole afternoon trying to catch this poor dog. We had reports about her yesterday, seen limping and sleeping rough 💔💔 We couldn’t find her last night, it was to dark on Christmas night 💔💔 Finally she was spotted today and MLHR Sarah got their first and watched her until we could make a plan. After hours of trying, we finally caught her and got her to safety. She was terrified, young, scared…then this miracle happened, MLHR Co Founder Debs and MLHR Rebecca the dog showed her that they only wanted to help, she literally hugged Debs, the tears flowed ❤️ We have called her Maisie after a lovely local lady ❤️ We don’t take days off, not on St Stephen’s Day, not ever, because animals depend on us.
