Delivery driver refuses to give customer their order because they didn’t tip her

Tip should be voluntary and not mandatory! The customer had already paid for the delivery service so it’s up to the customer to decide if she wants to tip or not. The delivery driver is wrong on this one.

If a tip is mandatory, it's no longer a tip. There's a toxic tipping culture in the US, and I don't like being extorted. And it's not my fault as a customer either. It's the employer's job to pay their employees a wage that is sufficient without tips. If you can't pay your employees a wage they can live on, you don't have a real and sustainable business.

I remember working door dash and doing a grocery order It took me an hour+ to gather everything The bill was $300 I delivered it and received no tip Door dash paid me $7 for the delivery I quit

Two things, she has a right to be disappointed or upset. She does not have the right to withhold a customers food that is paid for. She needs to learn some respect like this little has learned early in life.🙏
