QB only one that knows the rules

I swear I saw a team spike the ball with 2 seconds left once

Heads up play by one player only.

So it takes 3 seconds to snap and spike a ball per NCAA logic 🤔🤔 that actually makes sense 😂😂😂😂

WR sold the easiest touchdown of his life

How tf are you supposed to spike a football w 1 second dumbass ?😭

I do know the rule and I am happy the qb knew it. just wish someone fast also knew the rule if I was the qb.

I felt like they say that rule all the time in games

Even if there wasn't a rule 2 seconds would have left 0:00 after a spike anyway...

Happened to Miami vs Fl State like 4 years ago

There was only 1 second left.

Yes it is a rule. Mike Norvell (now fired) knew this rule and successfully won the game in 2021 against Miami because of it😂

If the offense is out of a live, moving play without the clock stopping at all, the 3 second minimum rule does not apply. If a team hustles to the line and snaps the ball with 2 seconds left while the clock is actively ticking, they can legally spike it

Iowa vs Michigan ending look it up

NCAA RULE book states clearly that a minimum of 3 seconds on the game clock is required to spike the ball And still have time for another play period.

Can’t spike inside 3 seconds

Pretty well known rule

Yes this rule was made like 5-10 years ago because they got tired of replaying spike plays and trying to frame by frame a football being thrown straight at the ground

The only reason I know this rule is because FSU beat Miami with this rule like 5 years back

I knew it. Because I was at the Rose Bowl when they screwed WAZZU and Ryan Leaf at the end of the game. He spiked it with 2 seconds left and it was clearly spiked BEFORE zero. So they made up this rule after the fact to “clarify”

@TTG__CB Didn’t know this rule till 5 years ago watching a game

This happened to Tennessee this year and they ended the half. We spiked it right as 1 ticked off the clock. Ref said that’s the end of the half

Yeah Go back to Iowas game winner against Michigan this year. Iowa catches a pass to set final play up but there’s only 2 seconds on the clock& Iowa has no timeouts. Only reason Iowa got to draw up a play is a Michigan player got injured on the play. Officials TO. Saved Iowa

would’ve been an easy touchdown had EVERYONE knew that thats why you don’t overlook ANYTHING in your profession even the rules.

I didn’t know it was a rule, but I also knew that he wouldn’t be able to successfully clock it with one second.

I did not know this 🤔 I know I've seen teams do it with less but now I'm going to be paying extra attention.

How does anyone claim to be a fan of the sport & not know this by now? It’s been a rule for years, & it situationally happens all the time

Thats just situational awareness

wtf didn't the receiver go long?

Goofiest rule of all time

why would u spike the ball with 1 second? the half would be over

IF I knew... I guess I'd have spiked it anyway & just prayed they didn't know....? I guess... you'd hope they'd stop play & check the end of the last play to check the clock?? But I get it. That too cld let em run the FG team on. Did NOT know it was a rule either. Something to commit to memory.

Nahhhhh somebody just made that rule up ain’t no way 💀

So he did right?

There's a very good chance that you have the most annoying voice I've ever heard. Just sayin
