Keeper sends hospital ball across the mouth of her unattended goal? Blame Coach, then the keeper, then the left back, who should have been in the goal, then the center back for not intervening when the keeper lacks leadership and situational awareness.

Why is the GK even taking that kick unless you’re playing a long ball?

Goalie, coming out of the box, should never play a square ball across the face of the goal with two opposing players in the vicinity. She deserved to get scored on.

This one is on the coach for allowing their team to think they could do this. And could have still called this off from the side.

Can we please 🛑.. Unless we are going to call out the lack of coaching and development in college soccer first as a whole. The decisions players make or don’t make is a direct reflection on the coach.The player will lose sleep 💤 and no one at any level wants this..

Interesting that you never direct these “who’s at fault” posts at anyone but the female keepers. It is a difficult & often thankless position & the trash you’re posting isn’t helping . Maybe reflect a bit on the mental health of these athletes before using them for engagement?

The mistake is there is too much "building from the back". Sometimes the goalie just needs to bomb it and your teammates need to win the possession down the field. But this is on the keeper. If you're taking the kick that far off the goal, never cross the ball across the field.

WHY? NEVER EVER kick to exactly the center!!!! Stupid. Moronic.

Wait…this is college?!? 1) good that it happens early in season. Learn from it. 2) good press…opposition took advantage of the gift! 3) definitely a coach and player issue. You have to know a) no lateral passes as a restart here, and b) keeper doesn’t take that kick.

Everybody makes mistakes. Passes need to be at feet and I'm not sure the purpose of that pass. As she sets the ball it appears she is either instructed to make a square pass or thinks there is a play to her back that she missed by a lot which backfired. It's a play that did not go as planned unfortunately. GK's make a mistake, its catastrophic. Field players make a mistake, all is good, my Keeper will bail me out.
