The police officer is at fault. When you are running lights/sirens responding to a call, you are required BY LAW to use all due regard for public safety. Public safety is paramount. It must always come first, even before the call you are responding to.

Cops fault he was on the wrong side of the center line.

The kid, Cop car running code with lights and siren blaring and the kid is camped out in the middle of the road where he shouldn't have been anyway. It's tragic and horrible but it's not the fault of the officer.

The Cop at the end of the day. The kid probably shouldn't have been out after dark. It looks like he was jaywalking. If the cop had been avoiding traffic by using the center divide I would have a different opinion. Both sides of the road were clear, and the copy uses the center divide to drive in.

Cop he’s driving like jackass in middle lane. Kid clearly got out lane for him and still mows him down. Why are you driving 60-80mph and not even in correct lane of travel? So fucking reckless! Should be charged with manslaughter. Poor kid.

The skateboarder, he's standing in the middle of the road with a Police car siren coming towards him at speed - he has no lights or reflector. It's tragic but I don't see how the Police can be blamed for this.

The cop, Now if the kid was just stepping off the curb and he seen the cop That is one thing but the kid was in the crosswalk and halfway across the street. The Taxpayers will foot the bill. The cop should be charged with Vehicular Murder.

Idk man. But a cops sirens are pretty fucking loud. I can hear them come about a mile away. Unless the kid is deaf, I don’t see why he shouldn’t have anticipated the cop coming.

Not sure why he was driving in the middle of the road, even though he had his lights and sound on he wasn’t even going fast to warrant all that. Kind of reckless just to be reckless and that lost someone’s life

There is Absolutely NO reason for that officer to be driving recklessly like that. There were NO cars I. Front of him.

Cop most likely. He was in the wrong lane of traffic. It is his responsibility to ensure the lane is clear. Had he stayed in his lane and mowed him down, he’d probably be fine.

When cops are flashing they can’t follow driving laws and that is why we, as civilians, have to yield to them. It’s an unfortunate accident but blaming the cops is counterproductive

We don’t know what they’re responding to, was this a disturbing the peace call or was a cop getting shot at? As a cop you need to have control of your vehicle when you’re speeding, and as a pedestrian, you can’t be in the middle of the road, especially at night. I’d say it’s 50/50, he would be alive if the cop wasn’t speeding and he’d also be alive if he wasn’t in the road. Tough call. Just an opinion.

Cop crossed a double yellow. Thats why the line is not dashed, you can’t see ahead if its safe. There’s a reason why it’s painted that way. IN ADDITION, the cop did not slam the brakes and chose to use evasive maneuvers. No Emergency break is evident, not driving some 18 wheeler.

Both are at fault . The dude is walking into the middle of the road in the dark , not on a crosswalk , the cop is driving in wrong lanes , if he is driving that fast there must be a serious reason for it

Kid is in the middle of the street, cop has full lights and sirens. Typically when I’m in the dead center of the street and I see a a police car flying at me I tend to move out the way idk maybe that’s just me
