The fact Monarch is actually right about this, and still did it wrong. And yes, you do boil the potatoes with the skin on, it's easier, and you were never gonna get 100% of the peal off anyways.

You can boil them first, then give them an ice bath. Or, you can just not peel them at all. Eat the skin. Bears don't skin seals. Scylla don't skin sailors. I don't skin potatoes.

Why not eat the skins, too? Wash the potatoes, boil them, then mash them WITH the skin on. The skin is nutrious and delicious. Mix in butter, pepper, garlic, and a little milk. Done! Redskin potatoes are best for this since the skins are thin.

my family have allways peeled them before boiling them. But my cooking skills are well...........uh....um...... yeah..em not so to say great . This coming from a guy who killed a toaster by useing it to toast never the less I'm not trusted near cooking equipment
