Bengaluru Development Minister Krishna Byre Gowda on Thursday announced a special grant of Rs 2,000 crore for upgrading damaged ward roads across five city corporations under Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA). Officials have been directed to identify poor roads, prepare estimates, float short-term tenders and begin work immediately, with a target to complete projects within four to six months. The minister also reviewed Bengaluru’s garbage crisis, directing officials to strictly enforce door-to-door waste collection, mandatory wet-dry waste segregation, GPS tracking of garbage vehicles, and stronger action against littering. A special drive will clear roadside garbage, debris and weeds. About 250 shops encroaching on footpaths around Bengaluru Fort, Bowring Hospital & KR Market were cleared by Central Corporation on August 5 following a Karnataka High Court order, Karnataka Bengaluru Development Minister Krishna Byre Gowda said. According to the minister, metal-fabricated shops had been erected using forged documents allegedly issued by the erstwhile BBMP, blocking the historic fort from public view and leaving little space for pedestrians in one of Bengaluru's busiest commercial areas. "High Court had directed occupants to vacate within 15 days. If short flyovers don’t work, how exactly will a short tunnel work? Bengaluru Development Minister Shri Krishna Byre Gowda himself admitted that short flyovers only move congestion from one junction to another as seen at Silk Board to Ragigudda. So why is the State Government spending ₹1,139 crore of public money on a 2.2 Km tunnel at Hebbal that will funnel six lanes of traffic into the already congested Mekhri Circle. This isn't infrastructure planning. But a perfect example of shortsighted planning, contract distribution and headline management. People of Bengaluru deserve better urban planning.

Bangalore has run out of dumping grounds for garbage. Exit dumping grounds are full. What should we do? There are new dumping grounds that have come. We should use that for some time. But you must see how to reduce the garbage going to the dumping ground. About 60-70 % is wet garbage. Why don't you make a rule that wet garbage should be treated by all generators beyond a certain point? You must have machines which can convert into compost. All the dry compost which is there, send it to the incinerator..."

The Pink Line Metro is finally nearing its opening. This will be a big relief for Bengaluru’s commuters. Along with BDA Minister Shri Krishna Byre Gowda and MLA Shri Krishnappa, I inspected the Pink Line from Jayadeva to Kalena Agrahara and all the stations. CMRS has assured the pending safety clearances will be completed in 1-2 weeks, followed by rolling stock approval. I’ll personally follow up with the Central Government, Minister & Railway Board Chairman to ensure all approvals are secured at the earliest. Good initiatives by the government will have our 100% support. But stupid and unscientific projects like Tunnel Road will be strongly opposed. Bengaluru needs solutions, not politics. Together let’s build a better Bengaluru. ನಮ್ಮ ಮೆಟ್ರೋ

Outrage is growing after a mom was forced to do the garbage men’s job while they stood there and watched! She left her cans out for 2 weeks in a row, and they continued to leave the bags in the cans. Eventually, she had enough! The next time they came, she put her crying baby down on the grass and lifted the cans up herself. The garbage men (both literally and figuratively) didn’t even offer to help her at that point. How angry does this make you?

And as the months go by, they get more information from employers, from households. And they add that information to get a more accurate picture of what happened in the prior 30 days. So it's actually a statistical process that is designed to in real time, correct, based on new information. It's quite the opposite of what you're suggesting. The revisions are not a cover up.
