My guess he is visually impaired and he’s using the zoom feature to make the code larger so he can see it. That feature exists for this very use case. I’ve seen other people use this feature for the same reason in the past

Worked with a guy who was legally blind, so he had a mega zoom monitor like this. Not sure if that’s the case here or if there’s a joke somewhere… but it reminded me of him

I had a colleague with a severe vision degenerative condition that needed this kind of aid to use the computer, about 15 years ago. He was losing the peripheral vision progressively and the red cross helped him to find the cursor.

I had this too when, by mistake, while scrolling, I hit some combination of modifier keys and the whole screen zoomed and it took some time to figure out what that actual combination was to zoom back out.
