After spending about a year and a half under the ‘perpetrator’ label, Kim Soohyun has finally moved away from that frame. What the public should now focus on is not unverified allegations, but ‘actor Kim Soohyun’ himself. On September 3, prosecutors returned to the police the investigation records in the case against Kim Soohyun for alleged violations of the Child Welfare Act (child abuse, coercion into lewd acts, etc.) and false accusation, which had been sent to them by Seongdong Police Station. Earlier, on July 29, the police decided not to refer the case to prosecutors, citing ‘insufficient evidence.’ Since prosecutors reviewed the records and did not request a reinvestigation or supplementary investigation, it is understood that they found no need for further investigation that could overturn the police’s decision not to refer the case.
