Frankenburg opens the world’s first affordable air defence missile mass-production facility in Riga Riga is the first operational step in our plan to build annual capacity for 1,000,000 affordable guided air defence missiles. The Riga Weapon System & Missile Assembly Factory supports production of Mark I, our affordable guided air defence missile system developed to counter mass drone and aerial threats. We shouldn’t be using million dollar missiles to stop $20k kamikaze drones. Frankenburg Technologies is building itself up to deliver 1 million low-cost, effective air defence missiles every year, like this one being tested here. That’s 100 times more than the West’s current missile industry. Right now, countries are spending between 10 and 100 times more than their attackers to defend against drone and missile threats. That’ll bankrupt even the strongest economies. So, at Frankenburg, our mission is not to be the next generation prime defence contractor. We just want to be the globally leading missile company. We have one job and we want to do it exceptionally well. Frankenburg is doing that in partnerships with BAE Systems, Babcock International, Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa🇵🇱, and Airbus Defence Airbus Space. More will be revealed soon. I do not think defence is a winner-takes-all market. We win through collaboration and, here in Europe, our strength is in our diversity of countries and competencies. All of us at Team Europe need to focus on core competencies and collaborate deeper, including by learning from partners in Ukraine, the Gulf, and beyond.

🇺🇦👍 Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence has purchased the first batch of Ukrainian guided aerial bombs (KABs), according to Mykhailo Fedorov. "The first Ukrainian guided aerial bomb (KAB) is ready for combat use. Ukraine continues to develop high-tech solutions for the front. A participant in the Brave1 program has created the first Ukrainian guided aerial bomb, which has already passed testing and is ready for operational deployment. The development took 17 months. The system is designed specifically for the realities of modern warfare and features a unique design. It is not a copy of Western or Soviet systems, but an original Ukrainian engineering solution intended to strike fortified positions, command posts, and other enemy targets at significant distances after release. The warhead weighs 250 kg. The Ministry of Defence has already purchased an initial experimental batch. Pilots are currently training with the system and adapting its use to real combat conditions. Ukraine is shifting from importing individual solutions to developing its own high-tech weapons systems, strengthening its defence forces and improving battlefield capabilities. In the near future, Ukrainian guided bombs will be used against enemy targets, increasing both range and accuracy and changing the dynamics of modern warfare." - The Ukrainian Minister of Defence wrote in his Telegram channel.

He adds, "Today, there is a need to create such a drone manufacturing ecosystem in India in which we are completely self-reliant. This self-reliance is important not only at the product level but also at the component level. That means the drone's mould, software, engine and batteries are all made in India. This task is not easy because in most of the countries where drones are manufactured, many critical components are imported from China. For India's defence preparedness and strategic autonomy, India must become completely self-reliant in drone manufacturing... The country needs all of you in this work. You will receive every kind of support from the government... We all have to work together in mission mode so that India becomes the global hub of indigenous drone manufacturing by 2030."

Today, I had a meeting with Josep Borrell, the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs, discussing our relations and cooperation with the European Union. An important piece of news—by the end of the year, our European partners are expected to fully implement their initiative to supply Ukraine with one million artillery shells. I also met today with Estonia’s Minister of Defense. Recently, a Russian “Shahed” drone strike on Kyiv damaged the building that houses the residence of the Estonian Ambassador to Ukraine. This incident is yet another reminder of the need not only to strengthen our defenses against Russian terror but also to increase pressure on Russia to limit its military production. Every “Shahed” drone, every missile Russia uses, is built with components sourced through sanctions loopholes. The next EU sanctions package must target these sanctions circumvention schemes directly. Those who continue this kind of trade with Russia must clearly understand the consequences. Peace through strength—this also means strength through sanctions.
