I like what Conrad Black said. Trump could offer Alberta statehood, liberation from transfer payments, excessive regulation &carbon taxes, carte blanche to exploit its natural resources, a generous welcome bonus in the form of a $100,000 tax credit to every adult Albertan in USD

they could have already done that like years ago. credit/debit cards are traceable and declinable and are digital. did you think it worked like magic? you know the cia and/or nsa can turn off/on all banking transactions of people they think are a threat, including electronic point of sales?

It’s a vote on whether Alberta should begin the legal process toward a future binding referendum and negotiate from a position of greater strength. If you’re happy with the status quo, vote Option 1. If you want Alberta to have more leverage before any final decision is made, vote Option 2. #LetAlbertaDecide #AbPoli

It appears that Thomas Lukaszuk is now regretting his formation of the question in HIS citizen led petition. Apparently he is now back peddling and only wants it to go to legislation. Not a vote. Regardless, it LOOKS like, no matter what, the question of “should Alberta remain in Canada” will be on the ballot in the referendum. Thanks Tommy! 😁

May's gain only brings employment back to roughly where it started the year. One strong month doesn't erase a weakening economy. I met an Albertan today who liked the idea of independence but felt overwhelmed by everything that would need to be figured out. Then something clicked: We don’t have to settle every question before October 19. This first referendum is non-binding. Option 2 gives Alberta the opportunity to strengthen its hand and see what Canada is actually prepared to put on the table. Maybe that’s meaningful constitutional reform. Maybe Ottawa offers very little. Either way, we learn something before deciding what comes next. You don’t need to know exactly where the road ends to give Alberta the strongest hand possible.
