I love how Casey Neistat Neistat accidentally explained why we're all watching alone together in the clip below. His funnel theory is right but he's missing the fact that we don't just have infinite content we have infinite GOOD content and that's actually worse because now there's no shared reference point for what "good" even means. Tom Hanks wasn't special he was just everywhere. Back then we thought scarcity = quality and that confusion created culture. I remember Casey revolutionizing vlogging by accident back in 2015. Then ten thousand kids copied him but they weren't watching each other they were all creating their own Casey universe in isolation thinking they were part of making crash zooms cool. No, Casey did that. The algorithm solved for engagement but destroyed coherence. We're all watching exactly what we want which means we're watching alone. Even when millions watch the same thing those millions don't know each other exist. I doubt future gens will ever experience _everyone_ in school talking about the same movie because there is no "same movie" anymore. They'll have better content/infinite content perfect-for-them content but they'll have it alone. The bottom of Casey's funnel used to be those "shared culturl moments" where society happened. Now there is no bottom just infinite falling through infinite content forever.

Two examples: On the left we have a content creator who tells her audience she presents the case as "fact" based from "court records" and yet we hear as recently as the latest episode an opinion not rooted in fact about Colin Albert. She states he has a temper and tendency to fight and yet nothing was presented at trial to establish this. No police reports of fights, no testimony with first hand experience that Colin was rage filled. Not a thing save two social media posts presented during his cross examination which could be interpreted as nothing more than typical teenage bravado. And yet because she consistently repeats she is objective & fact based, there is a possibility her audience will be misled into thinking her opinion is established fact, not gossip or speculation. On the right we have another content creator who allowed two prominent FKR "movement" Canton residents to present gossip and innuendo about Colin as fact. Neither one of these women had a single bit of evidence to support their libel. No police reports. No specific, verifiable incidents. Nothing. And yet Brian broadcast this gossip with no fact checking or pushback as to its veracity. What has happened to these witnesses is shameful and so many content creators swooped in and sought financial gain by participating in it. DELETION OF LEE KNOW IN ALL OF THE CONTENT 1. Talkers Season 5 - 7 episodes / 135 minutes 22 seconds = 2 hours 15 minutes 22 seconds In all of that time, there is a total of around 9 MINUTES of Lee Know's time. The biggest disrespect is that the company completely disregarded Lee Know birthday in all of the content recorded during his birthday. They sent the members to swim on the sea on the code that was recorded during his birthday, Lee Know doesn't know how to swim. Although he looked like he had fun (Lee Know always looking at the positive side of life), we don't understand why the company thought it would be a good idea. He had to be on tour away from his family and friends, and they decided to send them to record on the sea, the company didn't even prepare anything so the members sang happy birthday on the code or acknowledged it was his birthday. The talker that was recorded on his birthday, they completely erased any trace of him. Stays sang happy birthday to him at the concert, but they cut that part out too, they completely deleted him on his special day, so we have no trace of his birthday at all.
