(tho the blender wizardry ya'll do is too much for my mind to comprehend)

Now what you really wanna do is have the bulge deform up (from the underside) while maintaining the shape of the spine at the top. Then you're model won't be clipping into any ground as the bulge travels.

very true! maybe even include something so it squishes a little on ground contact... hmm....

A good lattice and some drivers will always do the trick - but it's convoluted. I 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 mock something up.

Even as a test, this is doing wild things to my brain

Oooh that's good... Maybe bigger bulge? :3

GOOD GOOD GOOD

you based mf, I need this so badly 😭

I shall make a note of this. For reasons. (Jokes aside this is actually helpful to know for other use cases, thanks for this demonstration)

Lol no worries, it was a bit rushed and might not explain everything.

Certainly gets the job done, and lacking some info leaves room to experiment and see how I could apply it to other scenarios. That said, a full tutorial would be neat to see, but no rush on that.

This looks awesome. I use Blender but every time I see someone else use Blender I feel like its a completely different program with different features.
