experience leads to fear & self doubt for potential

I mean, not really. The experts could just bring beginner’s mind to their work. “Experts” are bad at predicting the future because they are often risk-averse, elitist and in the ivory tower (as opposed to the streets)?

Scan any documents, convert images into text, PDF files, etc. 👍

He said “they extrapolate from the pasts standards” or something, also. Really good convo

@bchandras3karan They want to influence the trajectory in a negative way to prevent optimism!

Big if true

excited to welcome soham parekh (ex synesthesia, lindy, antimetal) to @runwayco we've never seen stronger performance on our engineering interviews so we decided to offer him the roles of staff engineer, principal engineer, and principal staff engineer, and he's accepted all 3.

Without the YC community this guy would still be operating and would have maybe never been caught The startup guild of YC is a necessary invention to help founders be more successful than they would be alone

Fun Fact: Figma has $1.54B of cash on hand currently but raised only $749M in primary capital in its history. It will go public with a negative (!) net burn over its lifetime of $791M, thanks to their efficiency and the $1B breakup fee received from Adobe.

Index Ventures doesn’t get enough credit. Largest shareholder in Wiz, second largest in Scale AI, largest in Figma, all are generational >$15b exits within 4 months. Top 3 VC firm globally, and arguably #1 IMO due to the consistency in fund size and returns they put out
