Far Cry 5 in full VR with motion controller support 🤩 Until now, Far Cry 5 could only be played in VR on a gamepad with head aiming, using the Luke Ross mod. Now, things may change, as modder Homard has just released pre-alpha version 0.1 of his VR... show more

I am grateful for what LR did for VR mods in the early days, but I've always felt that recently he was gatekeeping instead of actually improving the VR mods they were making.

I played quite a bit of the LR mod for FC5, but this mod looks (and runs) better - plus, motion controls are definitely a step up! :)

(this shows the VR mod by Luke Ross, just so no one gets confused :P)

Out of all the far cry's why do 5 though 🤦♂️

A VR mod for Far Cry 3 is also in the works :P

awesome🔥

Nooo way. Dreams come true

Whaaaat!? How can I play this!?! Please

A pre-alpha build can be found in the mod's thread on the Flat2VR Discord:

But what’s so strange about that? Yes, coding with AI costs real money. And yes, even with AI, creating mods takes a lot of time.

Why would it not make sense? Of course it does. These current VR mods emerge organically, with the involvement of the community. Alpha versions are intended for volunteers who want to help with the mod's development by reporting bugs and sharing their own ideas. These are not versions from which one should expect a complete, trouble-free experience. Modders are not development studios, they do not have their own QA department, and what takes the longest while creating a mod is testing it - something AI cannot help with. If this doesn't suit you, then simply ignore it and wait for a fully functional version. But first, someone has to get this version completed. In the past, mods used to take months or even years to develop. This one isn't even two weeks old yet, and you're complaining that the modder is working too slowly (even though the author has announced many fixes for later this week)...

Your point is to complain that the modder released the pre-alpha with support only for the headset he owns (which is the most popular headset in the entire PCVR), and didn't support your niche headset, which only a handful of people have, and most people interested have to wait at least until next year. Oh well.

If this can get the same quality as Titanfall2 VR it will be amazing!

@Flat2VR Finally open world VR

@Flat2VR Lately, we’ve been seeing a lot of open-world games in VR :)

Hey @grok more of this on my feed!!!

We need primal in vr too

Le créateur lui même indique que le mod est en beta 0.1 et quil ne fonctionne pas bien. L’avez voys essayé ?

Yes, I tried, this video is recorded by me. And as I mentioned, not everything works quite rightm I ran into some bugs, but the modder has announced that a number of fixes are coming later this week.

Waiting for Far Cry 4

How does this run in VR?

This honestly THE game I've been waiting for, haha. I seriously can't waiting! Between XB and PC I have like 600hrs in this game. I've reset the Outposts 30 something times and I still can't wait to play campaign again, in VR 🫠
