Finally, Govt’ has acknowledged that all medical interns require facilitation, and is now going to reinstate the 1m allowance per month to each medical intern. However, going forward, there ought to be a discussion on increasing the 1m, given the rising cost of living and inflation over the years. #KeepingTheGovtInCheck

Don't forget to tell them to pay monthly not quarterly! Thank you though.

I’m not glad, because it’s not only the medical interns, the whole country is under siege by their own security agencies, no rule of law suspects are being raped to induce confession out of them by force, we’re looking up to strong men like you to call for Economic Shutdown Ssebo

Please @JoelSsenyonyi Advocate for the reinstating of the presidential directive I million can't sustain these interns for one week in those fields of work including renting, transportation inflation, lunch supper

Well done sir 👏👏

Thanks for the energy, resistance and pressure u put for us medics.

Thank you LOP for the input. The next push should be on the recruitment plan. WHO recommended the Dr: Patient ratio of 1:1000. We are far way this yet we completed and are on the streets unemployed. No soldier/police man completes training and ends up on the streets. Our wish too

He should have also pronounced himself that when the President directed payment of 2.5M shillings, he was joking.... We can then call it "Presidential joke"

And whole 300+ MPs of NRM just quite looking like stones in the quarry hmmm wabula Thy will never say a word till when thy are passing laws

Thank you for raising voices of oppressed Ugandans ✊🏾

Appreciate you for continously coming through for us Honourable Joel.

What happened to the presidential directive to pay all interns 4 million shs. We should not make these strikes for payment an annual induction ritual for medical interns.

Thank you for advocating for us

Thank you so much for fighting for the Interns.

Hon. Joel, since the government is complaining of the many doctors being produced by the Universities nowadays, let's them make investments in accommodations in these hospitals for interns, government and some PNFPs and maintain atleast the current cash offer for all.

Hello Hon: Joel, Thank you for all your efforts to ensuring medical interns get their payment. You deserve all the credit as a leader and we don't take your efforts for granted.

Jeol atimes you need not to over giving wisdom to a group of myopic individuals let them stay brain washed until that day they will get to know that are senseless

Good job I wish we think about teachers too, 400k is little money they also need a salary increase

Thank you LOP however 1m is longer enough in this tight economy

@NtandaHamim Thank you sir for your endless fight on the floor 🫡🙏🏻

We commend the great work done by medical interns in Uganda, they are humble souls that require government support as they cannot fully commit to their duties and learning without any facilitation, the government has done to reinstate that vital allowance.

No intern will report with a shambolic policy. @Payallmedicalinterns and pay 4m, pay monthly, give a clear written policy. Our simple demands

The streets will never forget your work on this

Thank you honorable for always pressing them mpaka kukisenge you deserve a Statue of honor

Proud of you sir

Well Lop You'll be remembered for raising the voice of the voiceless

That was a good fight. It was not worth the effort for government to see the necessity to facilitate interns. Such obvious shortfalls, would morally require some technical advisors of government to resign there positions. But it's self against the bigger good. We hope 4 de bst

@AidenKaliisa @JoelSsenyonyi Will the outgoing interns get paid for their work for the last 6 months?

This man @JoelSsenyonyi is a blessing to the country 🙏

Weldone, atleast your not like those others silent MPs who just sit to warm our chairs bought by tax payers money only waiting to clap after your wonderful submission… then wait to ambush Salt tv and start verbosity

You pinned it. Thanks @JoelSsenyonyi. I would love to see the interns get 4m. this regime has been wasting our taxes. It's time our efforts go to the right people taking care of us

Hon. Joel, you’re 100 times far brighter than all the top officials in the ministry of health all combined

Unfortunately the country doesn't know that whatever this criminal regime pretends to acknowledge, is always added to the tax that poor Ugandans must raise. Meanwhile, they have never decided doing their responsibilities responsibly💔 Uganda deserves better💔🇺🇬💪🏿

It used to be a dream profession

Much respect 🫡 to you

We are appreciative to u our dear Lop for your tirelessly articulation of various matters of national significance.
