While much of the world moves toward a four-day workweek for better productivity and work-life balance, Maharashtra is increasing working hours. But who really benefits? The Maharashtra government has raised corporate office hours in Mumbai from 9 to 10 hours and factory shifts from 9 to 12 hours. They say employees will get more compensation for overtime. But does this actually happen? Even now, most employees don’t receive proper overtime pay for the extra hours they work. The answer is no. Maharashtra is not alone in this. States like Karnataka, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu have also extended working hours. Yet, there has been no significant rise in investment or employment in these states. This decision may favor industry owners, but it worsens the work pressure and disrupts the work-life balance of already stressed employees. It starts with slashing the wasteful spending of the Whitmer administration. We can pay to eliminate the tax on work entirely (TWICE) just from the spending increases of her administration. When we get rid of the tax on work, we’ll put more money in your pocket and unleash prosperity again in Michigan.

The number of entitled liberals I see claiming that they can’t work is staggering. This one was offered a job doing as much or less work than she does on her TikTok videos, and got upset about it. She goes on to basically beg for money and admit that she is a beggar not a worker. Claiming to be disabled because you’re lazy and useless is an insult to those who really are too disabled to work.
