Almost got into an accident this afternoon while on FSD. FSD thought the FedEx truck would make its turn quicker. When it realized it couldn't, it tried to go around. At the same time, there was a car approaching in the right lane. I assume FSD calculated there was space for me in the right lane, but it really should have just slowed down. I had to slam on the brakes and steer the car to the left to avoid the driver side of my car clipping the trucks bumper. It was way too close for comfort. I have done tens of thousands of miles on FSD and have never had anything this close happen before.

Here is why I disengaged FSD 14.3.3. Before this clip starts, I could see a semi coming down the on ramp and saw that it had some momentum. FSD did not slow down but the truck in the right lane would have ran into the other semi and either had to brake real hard or switch lanes. I took over to make it clear to the semi driver that I would let them over. No big deal, would be nice, if FSD could have seen that coming and facilitated that move. Tesla AI

Just had one of the worst drives I've ever had in 5 years with FSD in the rain ... for some reason even though it limits you to Standard it would not stop getting into the left lane (and was capped at speed limit). And the left lane was flooded in spots... Tesla AI - the left lane obsession needs to end. At this point it's bizarre. Especially in these conditions. I manually had to move the car back to the right 10 times in 5 minutes. And overall ... I'm not going to lie I could not see anything. My heart rate was probably at 150 bpm. So I want to be an FSD but I don't want to be 3 ft from a barrier hydroplaning.. When the speed is limited in these conditions and it won't go the speed limit anyway - FSD NEEDS to stay out of the left lane!!!

Tesla @Robotaxi just got an update where the turn signals and hazard lights are completely silent! I took a ride 2 days ago and can confirm turn signals were still active. Is this a sign of FSD v15 in Robotaxi? It is the only physical difference I have noticed. Nice touch.

If you have a Tesla, you should be using Tesla FSD. Every day I see owners driving around manually for no reason. Let the car do all your driving! It will seriously change your life. Tesla FSD is now the product, and the vehicles are just the delivery system. If you haven’t tried it yet, I highly suggest going to a Tesla showroom and experiencing the "magic" for yourself. It’s so hard to describe.

I looked to my left and it looked pretty damn clear to go but FSD stuttered and stopped I was ready to press the accelerator, like why aren’t you going bro! What's with ppl who have to turn right taking the long curve from extreme left & blocking those who have to go straight? Happens a lot in #Pune . This is from last evening at the Deccan corner signal. Not only did he block my way but also gave stares when I honked.

Gotta report warts when I see ‘em. FSD 14.3.3 had a freakout at the tollbooth. As you can see, it couldn’t decide where to go. I’ve gone through many times without issue. Any thoughts as to what might cause this kind of behavior? Tesla AI Also thanks CamCutApp!

At the point I don't even care anymore. FSD is too safe to not allow the user to allow 1 mph rolling stops. I obviously know the law - but the user/supervisor/person responsible for vehicle should be able to allow via an toggle-able OPTION. We can select Mad Max and go 85 in a 55 but cannot select rolling stops to blend in - which saves almost 3 seconds to go from 10mph to "stop" to 10mph??? This is actually probably a piece of increasing take rate. It's too brutal right now to use FSD around others daily. 99.5% of drivers roll stop signs per Tesla. (Not: I accelerated manually in top video in FSD when I "felt" I was not moving) Tesla AI

An interesting issue with Tesla Robotaxi where it took us to a Starbucks, but the Google data had the incorrect location. At drop off we were 0.2 miles from the Starbucks, so we had a short walk. Is there a way the Tesla AI team could add functionality in the app so riders can update map info to correct errors or inaccuracies on the underlying map data and then this propagates to the fleet? Being able to do this with a pin drop on the map instead of having to use an address might make this very easy and user friendly! Or, as a bigger ask, would it be possible for the car to be able to use visual images on its own to look for a Starbucks sign and on the fly, get us closer and update the map data on its own?

Tesla AI just gained a permanent FSD subscriber. Via Tesla FSD Reddit: “I am not a regular subscriber, but I was getting over COVID. With the foggy brain I subscribed to FSD just for the month to help me get around while recovering. I am fully recovered but get to enjoy the rest of the month of FSD. Car updated from 13.2.9 yesterday to 14.2. Today on my way home this happened! I couldn't figure out why it was slamming on the brakes until a mere second before the deer jumped out. I am so thankful. It doesn't replace human intervention but all the extra 'eyes' help. To be abundantly clear, there was no one around me that would make FSD want to steer out of the way, I was not distracted at all and supervising the vehicle the entire time, and there was NO time to react to avoid this incident.. Thankfully no one was injured, and there seemingly is no additional damage to the vehicle or the wheels themself. Tesla AI team (Wes too), please feel free to use my vehicle's telemetry data or any additional data to look into this to avoid this happening in the future if you so choose. (DM me if any further info is needed) This is incredibly disappointing to me. I understand this is a "supervised" software but dang, does it sting when there is nothing you could have done to avoid this (Other than not using the software at all). To be clear, I still believe in the FSD mission, but I will not be using the software until the next revision. Lastly, and in some better news, the Tesla North America Ridgepoint service location did an incredible job at quickly checking my truck to make sure its safe to drive, and getting me some wheel covers IMMEDIATLY! Here’s a solid example of the lightning quick scan and response time that FSD is capable of. Going near 60 mph on this dark highway I could barely notice this pile of debris until I was right on top of it, but FSD saw it just in time and took appropriate evasive action avoiding what would have been a nasty hit at the very least. Today I had my first demo drive in a Tesla. It was also my first time ever sitting in one. This was the first car I’ve ever sat in the driver’s seat of where I didn’t touch the steering wheel for over 20 miles. Before I even got to the car, the people who had demoed it before me were an older married couple who were absolutely euphoric. They thought it was so cool that the car could drive itself. The Tesla employee told me this happens all the time. People come back from demo drives and tell the next test driver that they’re about to have an amazing experience. Little did I know, I’d end up carrying on the torch to the next couple demoing it after me. There was a ton of construction where I demoed the car, and FSD handled the entire drive extremely well. And yes, it can go through a drive-thru and stop at each window. The only thing I had to do was tap the pedal because it wouldn’t leave on its own, but it was still wild seeing the AI stop perfectly at the second window and wait. There are a million things I could write about why a Tesla feels like a better car and how much more it offers compared to a regular car. But for now, I’ll stick to FSD. There were only two moments that made me a little uneasy. The first was pretty minor. The car slightly hesitated going up a driveway, but quickly made up its mind. The second was more noticeable. I didn’t realize the car was nagging me. Once I touched the steering wheel, nothing happened, so I pulled it right a little harder, then let go. After that, the car turned left and crossed a double yellow on a backroad. (and yes I know you can sue the volume knob) I’m not totally sure if it was trying to pull over or what it was doing. I wanted to see how it would handle the situation, but there were cars coming, so I took over and corrected it. One of the coolest moments was when I thought FSD was glitching because it came to a complete stop in the middle of a busy road. Then I looked around and realized why. On the right side, there was a bicyclist waiting at a yellow crosswalk. The cars behind me didn’t honk, and the Tesla stopping actually incentivized another car in the right lane to stop and let him pass. The car is almost too nice to pedestrians, because 99.999% of humans would’ve blown through that, especially with no flashing light. For 99.9% of the drive, the car navigated confidently and smoothly. It was a real “feel the AGI” moment. Please do not let the media, the general public, or anyone else convince you that this technology is just some kind of auto assist or glorified cruise control. This is undoubtedly getting extremely close to feeling superhuman. You still have to pay attention to the road, but after experiencing it myself, I’d be shocked if HW4 Teslas aren’t unsupervised within the next couple years. The car was extremely smooth. There was no harsh braking, and it even avoided something in the road that I didn’t see. Driving with FSD made me realize I probably wasn’t driving as well as I could be. Hopefully, eventually, everyone’s car can be as mindful as a Tesla. I’ve never seen a brand so far removed from the public’s sentiment. I’m so happy I ordered one.
