Critical Disengagement on FSD v14.3.7. Context: The car needed to leave the parking garage and go to HEB. It started from the second floor, made its way to the top floor, and I believe it tried to find a path through this metal wire fence. If it had gone through that, it was a 6 story drop to the ground. In the dashcam clip, it is clearly visible. You can see the car is at 4 mph throughout the whole turn and is not slowing down. It wasn't trying to park because the route was set to leave the parking garage, not park in it. Either way, driving at 4 mph inches from the fencing is not okay. I have an interior GoPro recording of the whole situation. It actually tried to drive into the fencing again after I restarted FSD. In thread 👇 Obviously since I disengaged, we don't know what it truly would have done. Maybe it would have made contact and stopped. This was as far as I was going to take it as someone responsible for the vehicle, so I believe this disengagement was fair. Green arrow to turn left and FSD starts to go then suddenly stops, I'm thinking why did you stop I hit the accelerator pedal, it breaks again at the same time a SUV barrels through the intersection running a red light. From my view In the car I never saw the vehicle. Had I been in any other vehicle and pressed the accelerator I have no doubt I would have been T- boned in my driver side door. Almost got into an accident this afternoon while on FSD. FSD thought the FedEx truck would make its turn quicker. When it realized it couldn't, it tried to go around. At the same time, there was a car approaching in the right lane. I assume FSD calculated there was space for me in the right lane, but it really should have just slowed down. I had to slam on the brakes and steer the car to the left to avoid the driver side of my car clipping the trucks bumper. It was way too close for comfort. I have done tens of thousands of miles on FSD and have never had anything this close happen before.

Here is why I disengaged FSD 14.3.3. Before this clip starts, I could see a semi coming down the on ramp and saw that it had some momentum. FSD did not slow down but the truck in the right lane would have ran into the other semi and either had to brake real hard or switch lanes. I took over to make it clear to the semi driver that I would let them over. No big deal, would be nice, if FSD could have seen that coming and facilitated that move. Tesla AI

Just had one of the worst drives I've ever had in 5 years with FSD in the rain ... for some reason even though it limits you to Standard it would not stop getting into the left lane (and was capped at speed limit). And the left lane was flooded in spots... Tesla AI - the left lane obsession needs to end. At this point it's bizarre. Especially in these conditions. I manually had to move the car back to the right 10 times in 5 minutes. And overall ... I'm not going to lie I could not see anything. My heart rate was probably at 150 bpm. So I want to be an FSD but I don't want to be 3 ft from a barrier hydroplaning.. When the speed is limited in these conditions and it won't go the speed limit anyway - FSD NEEDS to stay out of the left lane!!!

Tesla @Robotaxi just got an update where the turn signals and hazard lights are completely silent! I took a ride 2 days ago and can confirm turn signals were still active. Is this a sign of FSD v15 in Robotaxi? It is the only physical difference I have noticed. Nice touch.

The car was already committed to the turn and sitting in the path of oncoming traffic when the software started hesitating. Watch the steering wheel icon in the video. What a mess 🤦🏻‍♂️ I had no choice but to press the accelerator and clear the intersection quickly. Disengaging and stopping would have been the wrong call. Hopefully this gets addressed in future releases.

Admittedly sometimes I roll my eyes when people say “I didn’t see that, FSD prevented an accident” well it happened to me the other day and now I totally understand. I looked to my left and it looked pretty damn clear to go but FSD stuttered and stopped I was ready to press the accelerator, like why aren’t you going bro! Then for whatever reason this lady swings a U-turn at the last second, right across my lane. My Cybertruck goes from 15 mph to 1 mph in a little over a second. I never touched the brake, screen still says Self-Driving. I hadn't even finished processing what I was looking at, and FSD had already slammed the brakes. This is why FSD is so important... People get tired, look at their phone, panic, or just make mistakes. Tesla's AI on the other hand is always watching every camera angle footage, every second. Humans are bad drivers. FSD saves lives. This technology is priceless.

Gotta report warts when I see ‘em. FSD 14.3.3 had a freakout at the tollbooth. As you can see, it couldn’t decide where to go. I’ve gone through many times without issue. Any thoughts as to what might cause this kind of behavior? Tesla AI Also thanks CamCutApp!

So Tesla AI FSD just randomly disengaged today when it hit a pothole. I expect the pothole torqued the tire which caused the steering wheel to torque and cause a disengagement. At the point I don't even care anymore. FSD is too safe to not allow the user to allow 1 mph rolling stops. I obviously know the law - but the user/supervisor/person responsible for vehicle should be able to allow via an toggle-able OPTION. We can select Mad Max and go 85 in a 55 but cannot select rolling stops to blend in - which saves almost 3 seconds to go from 10mph to "stop" to 10mph??? This is actually probably a piece of increasing take rate. It's too brutal right now to use FSD around others daily. 99.5% of drivers roll stop signs per Tesla. (Not: I accelerated manually in top video in FSD when I "felt" I was not moving) Tesla AI

Welp...FSD(V13.2.2) smacked right into a curb on the Cybertruck today...Both wheel caps are destroyed. I have re-watched the footage many times at this point and I am still puzzled as to why FSD decided to veer to the right. Quite frankly unacceptable behavior. To be abundantly clear, there was no one around me that would make FSD want to steer out of the way, I was not distracted at all and supervising the vehicle the entire time, and there was NO time to react to avoid this incident.. Thankfully no one was injured, and there seemingly is no additional damage to the vehicle or the wheels themself. Tesla AI team (Wes too), please feel free to use my vehicle's telemetry data or any additional data to look into this to avoid this happening in the future if you so choose. (DM me if any further info is needed) This is incredibly disappointing to me. I understand this is a "supervised" software but dang, does it sting when there is nothing you could have done to avoid this (Other than not using the software at all). To be clear, I still believe in the FSD mission, but I will not be using the software until the next revision. Lastly, and in some better news, the Tesla North America Ridgepoint service location did an incredible job at quickly checking my truck to make sure its safe to drive, and getting me some wheel covers IMMEDIATLY! As always, I appreciate you Ridgepoint team!
