The first part of this series

Here is a demo where I tried to implement Leonardo da Vinci's ornithopter mechanism

A sci-fi comet explorer demo I made a while back

if you are looking for some unique controls for apps like these, here are some examples from my codepen, All open source.

This is cool!

thanks Patrick!

Flash 3.1 did a fairly neat simulation with a 3D grid:

What the fuck is this dude, are you a wizard? This is so sick! How hyped are you for the next gen of math education?

thanks! it is gonna be awesome!

Sent you my demo site via dm. Been working on tangential stuff

this is sweet

thanks!

These are awesome, but why Gemini 3.1 for coding?

thanks! I personally use Codex and Claude too, but I like doing my demos here with Gemini because anyone can try it since they have a generous free tier

@ALASKANmagpie

This is wow

thanks!

I will say that this is dope as much time as you deserve it 😅

haha, thanks!

Love this. If only e-paper was this fast!

haha, true, thanks!

looking great, love that ui

thanks!

These are incredible! I am working on small science apps for active research projects. We have real data, but the designs all suck! These are actually good! Any pointers on how to learn for technical-but-non-swe scientists?

thanks! Honestly, instead of following specific design practices, I mostly try to recreate the kind of science magazine illustrations and visuals I fell in love with as a kid. In a way, I'm just building the interactive science apps I wish already existed. Also, working with real data is tricky because it's hard to make everything look great all at once. I'd suggest starting small. For example, if you want to improve the look of a list or dashboard, go to a site like Dribbble and search for layouts you like. Then try recreating certain elements or adapting ideas from them. If you keep doing that regularly, your design instincts improve surprisingly fast. And yeah, I'll definitely be posting some biology related demos in this series too 🙂

Cool, thanks for the advice! I’ll give it a try

Wow, it turned out incredibly well.

@AdsQnn thanks!

Great job! 👏🏼 Is there a place where we can play with it online?

It should not wobble with a spherically symmetric source...

Amazing work! Could you also do this for the actual 3D fabric of spacetime? 99% of visualizations only show it on a 2D plane, which is technically inaccurate.

Nice designs. What complexity of prompt do you typically enter for the nano banana 2 generated design, and is it typically one-shot or a lot of nudging to get what you want? 🙂

What is the UI design called in this demo?

isnt anyone physcist anymore.. why does your space wobble?.. also its not correct represatation, we use this for kids, spacetime is 4d, and on right side wtf are those radnom spinning circles.. this is all good for some game but this is not real physics

i hate 2d plane spacetime visualizations it works so much better as 3d

So dope

Nano Banana 2 sounds like a stoned grocery list

would you mind sharing what prompt did you gave and what models did you used ?
