GANG WIZARD is a free open-world wizard game someone built with Claude Code. → Claude Code was connected to the Godot engine → It pulled premade assets from Sketchfab, Mixamo and through a browser → Beta 1.0 is pay-what-you-want on for Windows, Mac and Linux → The itch page... show more

claude code shopping sketchfab by itself, gta6 about to get beaten by a wizard

this looks dangerously fun

The asset pipeline is the part to watch. An agent pulling models from Sketchfab and Mixamo through a browser needs a manifest of where each file came from and its license, or a pay-what-you-want release turns into a takedown.

did it pull the sketchfab assets by driving a browser on its own, or did someone pick them?

claude code driving godot and grabbing its own assets is a wild loop. since the licenses aren't listed, worth knowing free sketchfab models each carry their own CC license, some NonCommercial

Godot + Claude Code + Sketchfab/Mixamo via browser is the interesting bit—the harness becoming a game-engine plugin, not just a chat wrapper. Pay-what-you-want beta is a clean distribution test for agent-built games.

能直接连Godot甚至自动扒资产组装,这工作流太野了,调试动作和碰撞体时卡手不?

Pay-what-you-want is the honest pricing test here. When building a game costs a few weeks of prompting instead of a studio, the bottleneck moves to getting players to find it. The teams that win this wave will be the ones who treat distribution as the main job, not the last step.

Claude Code driving Godot and pulling the assets in is a neat pipeline. Curious how much of the game logic still needed fixing by hand.

This is a great example of how AI coding tools are lowering the barrier to game development.

claude code grabbing the sketchfab and mixamo assets through a browser by itself is the bit i didnt expect. prerigged mixamo stuff probably kept the animation side sane, id guess placing things across the open world was where it got messy
