After months of stealth work I’d like to finally introduce my new app to the #ICPFamily! This app lets any user create a personal asset canister that only they own using just a wallet. It also provides a file explorer in the browser to let users upload and manage their files on chain. Features: • Code-free autonomous canister creation. • Familiar file explorer interface. • Drag and drop file upload. • Supports Plug, Stoic, and NFID. • Works on mobile with NFID. The app is currently in a whitelisted beta as I finish up testing but I’m happy to allow anyone early access. Dear Catholics, this is not the time for Hallelujah Challenge. This is lenten season. There is an app called Hallow by Alex at Hallow. This app made me fall in love with the Catholic Church. It was this app that opened my eyes to all the beauties I didn't know that the Catholic Church has. This app has converted many people to the Catholic Christian faith. It has brought many Catholics who were confused about the Catholic faith back to the Church. If you are looking for where to grow richly in knowledge of the Catholic Church, this app is for you. It contains all the novenas and litanies you can think of. Mark Wahlberg, the popular Hollywood actor, taught me how to recite the rosary perfectly on this app. This app contains "Bible in a Year" and catechism podcast that was recorded by fathermikeschmitz during the covid lockdown. Fr. Mike read and explained the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation and explained it in such a way that it fits in our world today. Many Genzs all over the world have returned back to the Catholic Church because of this Hallow App. It also contains many gregorian chants and radio drama of many Saints that you can listen to. Saints like St. Valentine, St. Josephine Bahkita, St. Lucy, St. Patrick, St. Pope John Paul the Great, St. Padre Pio, and too many to count. There is also the children section if you are looking at wanting your kids to grow in the Catholic faith. This app has these and many more. Hallow is currently on a #pray40 Lent challenge, and today is Day 2. (Peep my current streak lol. Is there any Nigerian living in Nigeria who has this streak???) I've ported the Android app logic to a Chrome extension - stripping out the pesky step of handing over biometric data which they can leak... and pass verification instantly. Step 1: Install the extension Step 2: Register an identity (just once) Step 3: Continue using the web as normal The extension detects the QR code, generates a cryptographically identical payload and tells the verifier I'm over 18, which it "fully trusts". This isn't a bug... it's a fundamental design flaw they can't solve without irrevocably tying a key to you personally; which then allows tracking/monitoring. Of course, I could skip the enrolment process entirely and hard-code the credentials into the extension... and the verifier would never know.

It's official. OpenAI just launched SORA 2... and an entirely new social app. Truthfully... I wanted to hate this. The idea of an endless turbo slop scroller is just… nightmare fuel to me. BUT. The reason I think Sora (the app) might actually just work, is that it’s a multiplayer meme-creation machine. It’s fun. It doesn’t take itself seriously. I think of it like a super advanced evolution of JibJab. The group chats will love it. Now… personally, I'd guess that I will be churning after the novelty fades… but I wouldn’t be surprised if they built some meaningful network effects here. But let’s talk about the model. Sora 2 is an instant Veo 3 alternative. It actually produces better physics, better audio, and deeper realism imo. It can also generate up to 15 seconds of video. Where it falls short is that it’s limited to 720p right now. We can assume 1080p and 4k exist, but the compute cost associated would probably not be economically viable for OpenAI. Okay back to the app. You can create a model after your own likeness, for yourself OR other people to use as a “cameo.” You have control over who and how someone can use your likeness. I’m “rpn24” on the app. If you have access to the app (it’s invite-only for now) – go ahead and create whatever you want using me (for now). I'm not too worried because OpenAI leaned heavily into moderation for launch. Which is probably smart because I expect the media and general public to blast this at first. They’ve also taken further precautions to protect your likeness. You can not export or save a video with someone else's likeness on it, and screen recording is disabled. Also Sora is testing (first I know of its kind) an algorithm you can prompt.

It's official. OpenAI just launched SORA 2... and an entirely new social app. Truthfully... I wanted to hate this. The idea of an endless turbo slop scroller is just… nightmare fuel to me. BUT. The reason I think Sora (the app) might actually just work, is that it’s a multiplayer meme-creation machine. It’s fun. It doesn’t take itself seriously. I think of it like a super advanced evolution of JibJab. The group chats will love it. Now… personally, I'd guess that I will be churning after the novelty fades… but I wouldn’t be surprised if they built some meaningful network effects here. But let’s talk about the model. Sora 2 is an instant Veo 3 alternative. It actually produces better physics, better audio, and deeper realism imo. It can also generate up to 15 seconds of video. Where it falls short is that it’s limited to 720p right now. We can assume 1080p and 4k exist, but the compute cost associated would probably not be economically viable for OpenAI. Okay back to the app. You can create a model after your own likeness, for yourself OR other people to use as a “cameo.” You have control over who and how someone can use your likeness. I’m “rpn24” on the app. If you have access to the app (it’s invite-only for now) – go ahead and create whatever you want using me (for now). More progress! I now have two Dockerized Gradio | Rerun apps. The first one takes as input a "raw" rrd file that consists of the synchronized egocentric and exocentric MP4 files. This runs the pipeline and produces an "annotated" rrd file. This has the camera parameters, 3D joints, and projected 2D joints (with 6DOF mano soon). The second app takes this "annotated" rrd file and allows for manual labeling. This is a crucial step in addressing any major failures in the pipeline. Right now, it is only the ego view that can be modified. But I'll eventually extend to all. This results in a final "gt" rrd file. From here, the plan is to improve quality and start building a data loop. Excited to start really scaling this. I'm basically going all in on keeping my data stored as Rerun rrd files. As always, I want to emphasize how crucial it is to LOOK AT YOUR data! The rrd format makes it incredibly easy to do so. Getting the data out to use is a bit of a hassle right now, but for me, it's well worth the tradeoff.
