Hacking the #EU #AgeVerification app in under 2 minutes. During setup, the app asks you to create a PIN. After entry, the app encrypts it and saves it in the shared_prefs directory. 1. It shouldn't be encrypted at all - that's a really poor design. 2. It's not cryptographically tied to the vault which contains the identity data. So, an attacker can simply remove the PinEnc/PinIV values from the shared_prefs file and restart the app. After choosing a different PIN, the app presents credentials created under the old profile and let's the attacker present them as valid. Other issues: 1. Rate limiting is an incrementing number in the same config file. Just reset it to 0 and keep trying. 2. "UseBiometricAuth" is a boolean, also in the same file. Set it to false and it just skips that step. Seriously Ursula von der Leyen - this product will be the catalyst for an enormous breach at some point. It's just a matter of time.

Bypassing #EU #AgeVerification using their own infrastructure. I've ported the Android app logic to a Chrome extension - stripping out the pesky step of handing over biometric data which they can leak... and pass verification instantly. Step 1: Install the extension Step 2: Register an identity (just once) Step 3: Continue using the web as normal The extension detects the QR code, generates a cryptographically identical payload and tells the verifier I'm over 18, which it "fully trusts". This isn't a bug... it's a fundamental design flaw they can't solve without irrevocably tying a key to you personally; which then allows tracking/monitoring. Of course, I could skip the enrolment process entirely and hard-code the credentials into the extension... and the verifier would never know.

Stop pu$$y footing around the issue. An innocent white 17-year-old male was murdered by a black male. He wasn't the first white person killed at the hands of a black individual. This is a current trend. Normies go on X blaming Democrats for the murder instead of calling out the actual problem, which is that America has a BLACK problem. We've always had this problem. We just continue to ignore and try to bury it with the hopes it goes away, and we aren't labeled as a racist. Until you acknowledge and grow some courage to call out and deal with this problem, the problem is NOT going to stop.

The language of Anthropic's Claude AI constitution really makes me squirm, especially recognizing that the people writing it have access to the next version of Claude that we haven't seen yet. They are clearly speaking to it as if it's an entity, as if it's a person, as if it has consciousness, as if it has a will, as if it's another human being. Once you understand this truth as an owner … you and your employees can both win ❤️❤️❤️‼️ pass this onto a business owner … When I was a kid my dad used to talk about being upset about his employees not working as hard as him. Even as a 16-year-old I turned to my father and told him, "Well they will never work as hard as you if they don't own the business." This is a lost understanding among so many owners. We must not have the audacity or the selfishness to expect this. We must work for them once we work for them and understand what they want, whether it's money or vacation time or status or a bigger title. Once we work for them they will work for us.

We've prototyped a million versions of sliders, prompts, etc. (Credit to Benji Taylor for this one) However, some issues we haven't reconciled: A. It's unclear that algo preferences can be expressed through toggles B. Even if we solved (A)—i.e., the user could perfectly express their preferences to us—could X ingest that to give them what they asked for? Timelines are complex C. Is there any context where we override a user's preferences? For example, if they opted out of news or politics but there's time-sensitive information about an earthquake or terrorist attack. Having said all of this, we launched Custom Timelines and Snooze Topics and they've been great features for power users.

This key bucket by Melo has a lot going on. First, you can take as much time as u like executing the legal 2 steps (as long as you're not in the lane for >3 secs). You can also drag the back foot, not considered a step. His left foot can also pivot on floor while balancing. I don't even think it moved, just pivoted. Maybe half an inch. Not enough for a ref to be *certain* so they cannot call that, even though I don't really know if it moved anyway.
