Serving Bengaluru Beyond Duty location - Hebbal Flyover starting ramp towards city market airport Road Today, at around 3:00 PM, heavy rainfall lashed Bengaluru, leading to severe waterlogging and traffic congestion at several locations across the city. While I was at home, I immediately checked Google Maps to identify the worst-affected areas with heavy traffic and waterlogging. Without waiting for any instruction, I stepped out to assist wherever help was needed. As a responsible citizen, I firmly believe that traffic management during emergencies is not the responsibility of the Traffic Police alone. During heavy rain and waterlogging, no single department can handle the situation by itself. It is our collective responsibility as citizens to stand together, support one another, and extend a helping hand in the interest of public safety. Every small effort made for society contributes to saving valuable time, reducing traffic congestion, and, in many cases, protecting lives. Hebbal Flyover Accident at 1 AM: One Dead, Two Injured in a Multi-Vehicle Collision A fatal accident took place around 1 AM last night on the Hebbal flyover, involving three vehicles and resulting in one death and two injuries. A truck loaded with stones reportedly lost control and overturned, crashing on top of a BBMP garbage truck passing below. The driver of the garbage truck tragically died on the spot due to the impact. Shortly after, a car that was traveling behind collided with the wreckage, adding to the severity of the accident. Two people sustained injuries and were immediately taken to a nearby hospital. Their current condition is reported to be stable. Eyewitnesses believe the stone-laden truck was over-speeding and may have lost control due to sudden braking or poor road surface. An investigation is currently underway to determine the exact cause. This tragic incident raises serious concerns about the lack of safety measures on Bengaluru's flyovers, especially at night when heavy vehicles are more common. Despite Hebbal flyover being one of the city’s busiest and most critical junctions, there are still no effective speed control systems, surveillance cameras, or proper lighting in place. It’s high time the authorities, including BBMP and Bengaluru Traffic Police, take swift action to ensure safer roads and stricter enforcement before more lives are lost #bangalore #bengaluru #accident Hebbal Traffic Police Station Hebbal BCP Karnataka State Police ChristinMathewPhilip

A shocking incident has come to light from RT Nagar, near the flyover beside the Shell petrol station, where a viral video shows a traffic police officer allegedly assaulting an innocent cab driver over a minor parking issue. According to the video and the message written on it, the cab driver had parked his vehicle for just five minutes when the traffic cop suddenly began shouting and abusing him. Moments later, the officer allegedly slapped and manhandled the driver in full public view. The eyewitness described the incident as “a very bad job from the traffic cop,” condemning the officer’s aggressive and unprofessional behavior. Such actions are not only a gross misuse of authority but also a direct attack on the dignity of ordinary citizens who expect safety from those in uniform. The video evidence makes the matter even more serious. A quick and impartial investigation must be conducted so that the culprits whether the officer or the cab driver face appropriate punishment. No one, especially those entrusted with upholding the law, should be allowed to abuse their power and intimidate citizens. Accountability and justice are essential to maintain public trust in law enforcement. #bangalore #bengaluru #hebbal #rtnagar ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್‌ BengaluruCityPolice ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಸಂಚಾರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ BengaluruTrafficPolice CP Bengaluru ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಆಯುಕ್ತ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು Joint CP, Traffic, Bengaluru alok kumar DGP KARNATAKA ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ Karnataka State Police S. Girl Student’s Clip Exposes Bengaluru’s Broken Roads, Missed Classes and Injuries Today morning, Bengaluru witnessed yet shocking incident: a school bus toppled over on the Panathur–Balagere stretch. The reason? Our “world-class” roads riddled with potholes, craters, and poor maintenance. Fortunately, the students managed to escape through the back door, but the incident could have been far worse. Soon after, a video surfaced from another group of students travelling in their own school bus. In it, they spoke about the deplorable condition of Bengaluru’s roads and the ordeal they go through every single day. According to them, they spend more time bouncing around in buses than sitting in classrooms, thanks to endless traffic jams and delayed schedules. Their extracurricular activities are postponed, their study time is cut short, and their safety is constantly at risk. The irony? While making the video, their phone actually slipped from their hands not because of negligence, but because the bus lurched violently over yet another pothole. Students even claim to have sustained injuries due to the constant bumps and jolts. And yet, despite repeated promises from Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar and the @GBAoffic about fixing Bengaluru’s infrastructure, school buses still feel like off-road rally vehicles. For a city proudly calling itself the “Silicon Valley of India,” our roads seem better suited for adventure sports than for carrying children. Maybe it’s time, DK Shivakumar,Siddaramaiah experience a few of these bumpy rides themselves perhaps then the potholes will finally disappear. Karnataka State Police S. Karnataka Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda strongly came down on his own government machinery and the contractor during an inspection of the ongoing Metro Phase 2B project from Nagawara to Bagalur Cross on Sunday, openly expressing his frustration over prolonged delays, poor execution, and the hardships being imposed on the public.During the inspection, the minister pulled up Metro officials and contractors for incomplete pillars, blocked roads, and footpaths filled with construction debris, which have severely affected traffic flow and pedestrian movement. He ordered the immediate clearance of waste, removal of unnecessary roadblocks, and directed officials to speed up construction work to reduce inconvenience to commuters and residents.Byre Gowda expressed shock that Metro pillars at some locations have remained incomplete for nearly two years. Questioning the lack of accountability and planning, he asked officials why a stretch of road had been shut for over a year with little visible progress. “You shut this stretch a year ago. What have you been doing all this time? Does it take one year just to complete a pile cap? Now you are saying in two months you will do magic. Where is the pillar? I can’t even see it,” he remarked sharply, taking a direct dig at the contractor. He also criticised the irrational blocking of roads, pointing out that construction activity at one location was causing road closures and traffic chaos elsewhere. “If work is happening at Hebbal, then block Hebbal. Why are you closing roads here and troubling people unnecessarily?” he asked, highlighting the lack of coordination and sensitivity towards public suffering. The minister further flagged the pathetic condition of footpaths and service roads, which were clogged with debris and construction waste, making movement extremely difficult and unsafe for pedestrians and motorists. He directed officials to clear the debris immediately and restore access for the public. Acting on his instructions, officials cleared the waste on the spot in his presence. Raising serious concerns over worsening traffic congestion in North Bengaluru, Byre Gowda pointed out that several roads had been blocked without justification, leading to daily traffic snarls and long delays for commuters. He instructed officials to remove avoidable barricades without delay and ensure smoother vehicular movement.Criticising the authorities for testing public patience, the minister stressed that prolonged and poorly managed construction work was unfairly burdening citizens who have been enduring inconvenience for years. He warned officials that delays, lack of planning, and casual execution would not be tolerated any longer, and called for strict accountability and better coordination to ensure Metro works are completed at the earliest. He подчеркed that development cannot come at the cost of endless suffering for the public, and authorities must respect the patience and time of Bengalureans #bangalore #bengaluru #bagalur #yelahanka Krishna Byre Gowda ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್‌ BengaluruCityPolice ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಸಂಚಾರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ BengaluruTrafficPolice alok kumar DGP KARNATAKA ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ Karnataka State Police S. Padma Shri Awardee Ricky Kej Alleges Shocking Theft at His Bengaluru Home Serious Questions for Zomato and City Law & Order Padma Shri awardee and internationally acclaimed musician Ricky Kej has made a disturbing allegation about a theft at his Bengaluru residence, raising serious concerns about public safety, corporate accountability, and the state of law and order in the city. According to Ricky Kej, a person who appeared to be a zomato delivery partner allegedly entered his home premises on Thursday around 6:00 PM and stole the sump cover. What makes the incident even more alarming is that the individual reportedly came around 15 minutes earlier for a recce, and then returned to trespass and commit the theft indicating planning and confidence, not a random act. Ricky Kej stated that the entire incident was captured clearly on CCTV from two different angles, including screenshots of the suspect’s face and the vehicle number a red Honda Activa bearing registration number KA03 HY 8751 (as seen in the footage). If these details are accurate, identifying the person should not be difficult for either the platform involved or the authorities. This incident raises uncomfortable but necessary questions: How easily are delivery personnel verified before being given access to residential areas? What background checks are actually being done by food delivery platforms like Zomato? If a Padma Shri awardee with CCTV cameras is not safe in his own home, what about ordinary citizens? Zomato, as a major corporation, cannot wash its hands of responsibility when someone allegedly representing their delivery ecosystem is involved in such a serious accusation. Silence or generic replies are not enough. Citizens deserve transparency, accountability, and swift action. Platforms profit from public trust and that trust collapses when safety is compromised. Equally concerning is the larger law and order situation in Bengaluru. Despite CCTV evidence, faces, and a visible vehicle number, citizens are still forced to publicly appeal for help. Is this what Bengaluru has come to? Are criminals so fearless that they allegedly trespass homes in broad daylight, even in the early evening? Ricky Kej has urged Bengaluru City Police to assist in identifying the individual involved. The public now expects immediate and visible action, not just assurances. This is not just about one stolen sump cover. This is about security, accountability, and trust. People of Bengaluru stay alert and vigilant. If such an incident can allegedly happen to a Padma Shri awardee, it can happen to anyone. Deputy CM Sri DK Shivakumar says I’m a “young boy in an unnecessary urgency” for repeatedly demanding the early opening of the Yellow Line Metro. Yes, I am in a hurry. Because I don’t believe that public infrastructure should take decades to complete. Because I refuse to accept 8.5 years for a 2 km flyover. Because I represent a generation of Indians who want change now - not in some indefinite future. Congress Party represents the politics of delay. He comes from a party where Indira Gandhi would lay the foundation stone, and Sonia Gandhi would inaugurate it decades later. I represent a New India under Modi where our Govt starts work on the project and also inaugurates it. I’m in a hurry because my city is choking. Because commuters waste hours stuck in traffic, where ordinary citizens - not ministers - bear the brunt of broken deadlines and bureaucratic apathy. Instead of making personal jibes about my age, let the Deputy CM list a single concrete intervention he made to expedite the Yellow Line. Where was he when the project was stuck in land acquisition? Where was he when we were fighting for a full-time BMRCL MD? Where was he when we had to coordinate across ministries and manufacturers to ensure timely delivery of rolling stock? Where was he when we pushed for visas for foreign engineers to prevent further delay? Where was he when I led a citizens’ march demanding a firm and final date for inauguration? He turned up three days before the PM’s visit to orchestrate a media circus - but where was he for the last five years? I am in a hurry because I believe Bengaluru deserves better. Because I believe public projects must be delivered with speed, accountability, and integrity. Because I believe in politics of performance - not tokenism and photo-ops. This is not the era of slow-motion politics. This is the era of fast-track governance.

ONE MAN RESPONSIBLE | Who is responsible for half of Bengaluru City's traffic woes? Can there be one single person responsible for it? Yes. Read on. After exposing the hidden 200Cr house of Rajeev Chandrasekhar 🇮🇳, in his own name, he accepted that the house belongs to him. Now he and his followers have challenged us to talk about development. So we decided to talk about Rajeev's development in Bengaluru for 18 years. In 2010 the then BJP Govt came up with a signal free corridor from Sirsi circle to Agara. As per the plan, a 120 Cr signal free corridor from St. John's signal in Koramangala to Agara was given tender and the work started. It involved 2 underpasses and two flyovers. One underpass at Water tank signal, another at Wipro park junction and two flyovers one at Krupanidhi junction and another at Jakkasandra. And then Rajeev ji arrived. He declared that the project is unscientific and used the resident welfare associations to fight BDA. He declared that it is corruption of BJP, because he was with Janata Dal then. They filed a PIL and killed the project. The roads were dug up for the underpass, which many people might still remember. Finally Siddaramiah Govt came and widened and fixed the road. It still takes around 45-60 mins to cover this 5km stretch in peak hours. After Modi came, he switched sides to BJP. He then tried to kill the Steel Flyover project. We've covered that in detail in this thread below. So, when you are stuck in traffic in Bangalore, especially in North and South Bangalore, the face to remember is Rajeev Chandrasekhar's. We did this video, because he says he did a lot of development as an MP, without disclosing what exactly it is. Other than his business interests, there is nothing he did as an MP. KPCC General Secretary Nisha Soman Thettayil explains:

Prathap Simha's vile “cut” remark about Chief Minister Siddaramaiah ji in Bagalkot has exposed the BJP's despicable politics once again. It is increasingly evident that Prathap Simha’s outburst is driven by desperation. BJP is deliberately using Prathap Simha for insulting the tallest leader of the backward community, Shri Siddaramaiah, purely with a view to convey a message to the backward classes, Scheduled Castes and Minorities, that BJP treats them as inferior and subjugated as per their Manuvadi approach. Such conduct only exposes a complete bankruptcy of ideas, ethics, and leadership within the BJP. CM Siddaramaiah and DCM DK Shivakumar have received death threats in the past - from the same divisive forces, including one from BJP leaders who warned that their bodies would be stuffed into a refrigerator. This is not one man's madness - it is the BJP’s political culture. This is the same Prathap Simha, who in the past called the elected Karnataka government a "Taliban government" - not once, but repeatedly at the instruction of the BJP Central Leadership. BJP leaders are habitual offenders in spreading poisonous discourse. Ex MP Ananth Kumar Hegde openly insulted Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao's wife - while serving as a Union Minister. BJP MLC CT Ravi had fallen to the ultimate low by insulting Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar inside the Legislative Council itself. Other BJP leaders are repeat offenders in hurling insults, indignities, and outrageous remarks, to offend and denigrate individuals, communities, and religions. When abuse becomes the Magna Carta of BJP leaders, it is futile to expect language of development, progress, or harmony. The anger and frustration of BJP in Davanagere South and Bagalkot assembly bye-elections emanate from their rejection by the people and foresight of imminent defeat on April 9, 2026. Irked by the same, and angry with Kannadigas, State and Central BJP leadership has now assigned the task to the ilk of Prathap Simha, to hurl abuses and indignities at the leadership of the poor and downtrodden, including on Chief Minister Shri. Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar. And the ultimate irony - the BJP leadership first expelled and disowned Basanagouda Patil Yatnal for six years from the BJP. Yatnal openly calls BJP State President B. Y. Vijayendra and former Chief Minister Shri. B. S. Yeddyurappa as a "corrupt family”. In Bagalkot assembly, BJP and its candidate, Sh Veeranna Charantimath have now appointed Yatnal as their “star attraction”. A party divided into a thousand pieces, who cannot manage their own house, are now abusing Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Minorities and their leaders including Chief Minister Shri. Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister Shri. D. K. Shivakumar. Karnataka has a proud legacy of progressive thought, scientific temper, religious tolerance, and social harmony. The great Kannadigas will not be misled by BJP leaders, who seek to drag politics into the gutter. We demand the following immediately: 1. Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, BJP National President Sh. Nitin Nabin, BJP State President B. Y. Vijayendra, and LoP Sh. R. Ashoka must tender a public apology to 6.5 crore Kannadigas, particularly to the OBCs, SCs, and Minorities, for the disparaging and intolerable remarks of BJP leader Shri. Pratap Simha, made against Chief Minister Shri. Siddaramaiah. Let them expel Prathap Simha from BJP, if they do not subscribe to his remarks, and if they are not a party to the conspiracy. If they do not do so, it will be proved that the state and central leadership of the BJP has deliberately assigned Prathap Simha for hurling these nefarious insults and indignities. 2. FIR be lodged against Prathap Simha and strict action be taken. If the BJP and its leaders do not apologize, the poor and the downtrodden would teach the BJP a befitting lesson in the bye-elections of Davangere South and Bagalkot. Jai Hind! Jai Karnataka!
