Today, I remember Dr. Herbert Wigwe, C.F.R, a mentor, a builder, and one of the people who changed the course of my life. Long before many believed in the possibilities we now see across African fintech, Herbert challenged me to think bigger. Dangote: In the last two months, billions of liters have been imported into Nigeria. It’s Nigeria that is losing, not me, Dangote. I live a simple life and actually don’t need the money. If it was about being rich, I would have invested in Google and Microsoft. I would have been richer. Maybe today people might not appreciate us, maybe in the next 50 years, when we are not around, people will remember what we have done.

Many people keep wondering why I don’t look my age. One of the biggest reasons is simple, I’ve been consistently exercising for the last 6 years, and trust me, my health has been top-tier because of it. A lot of people are saying Justin Herbert was “rude” to ESPN’s Laura Rutledge for not wanting to do this postgame interview after the Chargers OT win vs Philly My thoughts: 1. He did come across a little rude, but acted like a professional after he reluctantly agreed to be interviewed. 2. Laura was persistent and just tried to do her job. 3. Herbert deserves some grace. He’s is coming off of a big win, beat up after 7 sacks and just had hand surgery. He just wants a few seconds to celebrate with his team. 4. Laura, and many of these female reporters, need to ask better questions. “What was it like” questions are so tiresome… 5. As far as I’m aware, and based on my own experience interviewing athletes during/after games, a broadcast team/reporter gives the team’s PR personnel a head’s up who they want to interview and that player is, at least, aware of a potential interview, so Herbert wouldn’t be surprised. 6. Stop acting like this is an “attack on women”. That’s completely irrational & unfounded. 7. Herbert has consistently been one of the most polite athletes with media in the league. It wasn’t a great look, but trying to crucify him over this is silly.

A passage from my book: On one of my first days back , my mum asked me what I was doing standing in the garden barefooted, in light drizzle, apparently staring into the sky on what was a very English day. All I remember is looking at the sun and the clouds , feeling the grass on my feet and the wind on my face while thinking how new everything seemed, I could see, feel, smell everything all at once, it was overwhelming. You see there’s no wind in prison, no rain and for 60 days I didn’t even see the sun. Some of these boys have been locked up in the most horrendous conditions for 3 years God bless them, welcome home🙏🇺🇦

One of the most profound things that happened yesterday was when a Hausa man selling biscuits, packed biscuits, and sweets and threw them into our trucks to support us. It was those biscuits and sweets that we gave to some children there while we all gave the man money. I am not surprised that some people will build up a scenario in their heads and live with it as their reality. On this mandate, I stand gidigba. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu until 2031.

He’s got a point… I used to be all chill, love & light. I was comfortable. But we are all under pressure, we have allowed things to spiral out of control & we are reaching boiling point right now. You can only push people so far. Things have been pushed so far out of balance that when they swing back the other way, it’s going to be brutal. We have been backed into a corner with no way out & when this happens to our people, it doesn’t end well for those that have put us in this situation. Wish Whites could find a happy medium & not let things turn to shit before we act though.

I am so glad that what we have been saying has been made cleared by his excellency Rabiu musa kwankwanso in his words “I am convinced that Peter Obi is truly ready for a united Nigeria. Many people have twisted what happened in Imo State the issue of the ID CARD / TAG given to northers, I was the one who stepped in . You have all been hearing my interviews, the ones I have done and I am still doing. There is no way people will say Northerners were being targeted without mentioning that I stepped in to resolve the matter. I, Rabiu Kwankwaso, intervened and settled the issue. It was not Anambra, it was not Peter Obi it was an issue in Imo State, and I was the one who stepped in. The person involved is a friend of ours from the North. I do not know what happened to him maybe power got into his head or something else happened. I personally went to him and told him that what he was doing would not work, and that others could also retaliate by doing the same thing. We discussed it, laughed over it, shook hands, and everything was settled peacefully. I was the one who arranged and resolved the matter. But despite all this, people still say Peter Obi does not like the North or that he hates Northerners. All those claims are false. They are huge and deliberate lies.

Many people have twisted what happened in Imo State the issue of the ID CARD / TAG given to northers, I was the one who stepped in . You have all been hearing my interviews, the ones I have done and I am still doing. There is no way people will say Northerners were being targeted without mentioning that I stepped in to resolve the matter. I, Rabiu Kwankwaso, intervened and settled the issue. It was not Anambra, it was not Peter Obi it was an issue in Imo State, and I was the one who stepped in. The person involved is a friend of ours from the North. I do not know what happened to him maybe power got into his head or something else happened. I personally went to him and told him that what he was doing would not work, and that others could also retaliate by doing the same thing. We discussed it, laughed over it, shook hands, and everything was settled peacefully. I was the one who arranged and resolved the matter. But despite all this, people still say Peter Obi does not like the North or that he hates Northerners. All those claims are false. They are huge and deliberate lies.
