If I had a favorite tea for when I’m sick, this one is it. Every single time I make this it helps immediately. Some of the many benefits of this Apple Ginger Tea: 🍎 Organic Apple: Simmered apples in tea offer health benefits by releasing pectin, a type of soluble fiber, which supports gut health and acts as a prebiotic, encouraging the growth of beneficial gut bacteria. Additionally, apples contain quercetin, an antioxidant known for its anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties, which may help reduce the severity of cold symptoms. 🫚Ginger:Ginger contains gingerol, a bioactive compound with strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. Studies suggest it can reduce respiratory inflammation, ease sore throats, and relieve nausea by calming the stomach and aiding digestion. 🌿Mint: Fresh mint leaves contain menthol, which can act as a natural decongestant, easing breathing and soothing sore throats. Mint’s antibacterial properties also support respiratory health, while its soothing effect on the digestive system can relieve stomach discomfort often accompanying colds. 🧄Cloves: High in eugenol, cloves possess antibacterial and antiviral properties that help combat respiratory infections and support immune function. Eugenol is also an effective antioxidant, helping reduce oxidative stress during illness. 🌱Cinnamon Stick: Cinnamon is packed with cinnamaldehyde, an anti-inflammatory compound that has been shown to fight off bacteria and fungi. Its antioxidant content helps protect cells from damage, while its warming effect can promote circulation, which may help the body recover faster. Each of these ingredients contributes to a powerful, health-supporting tea that’s both soothing and effective during cold season! Here’s what you’ll need: ✨2 inches of Fresh Ginger ✨3-4 Cloves ✨1-2 Organic Apple, core removed and cut into large pieces (about 1.5 cups cut apples) ✨1 Cinnamon Stick ✨4 cups Water ✨2-3 Fresh Mint Sprigs Optional Add-ins ✨1 tablespoon Fresh Mint Tea ✨2-3 tablespoon Sea Moss Gel ✨1-2 teaspoon Manuka Honey Bring the ingredients to a boil, then reduce to low heat. Simmer for 10-15 minutes. Enjoy!

🔥 Fire Cider 🔥 Now is the time to start preparing your remedies so they’ll be ready for cold and flu season! Fire cider is a powerful immune-boosting, digestive-supporting, energy-giving, circulation-stimulating, respiratory-clearing, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant tonic. Here's my recipe for fire cider using a half-gallon mason jar: Ingredients: - 1 red onion 🧅 - 1 large orange 🍊 - 1 lemon 🍋 - 1 head of garlic 🧄 - 2 ½ jalapeños 🌶 - ½ tsp cayenne pepper 🌶 - 1 tsp peppercorns - 10 cloves - 1 bunch of rosemary 🌿 - 1 bunch of thyme 🌱 - 1 handful of ginger 🫚 - ½ tsp turmeric - 1 or 2 cinnamon sticks - Organic, raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar (ACV). If you can’t find this, use any apple cider vinegar you have access to. Instructions: 1. Chop your produce and add it to your mason jar as you go. 🍶 2. Add the rosemary, thyme, peppercorns, dried cayenne peppers, cloves, and cinnamon sticks. 3. Fill your jar to the top with ACV. 🍎 4. Place a sheet of parchment paper between the jar and the lid to prevent the ACV from corroding the metal lid. If using a plastic lid, you can skip this step. 5. Let your fire cider sit on the counter or in the pantry for 4-6 weeks, gently shaking it daily. 🕰 6. Open the lid every couple of days to check the level of your ACV. If it’s not filled to the top, add more ACV. 7. After 4-6 weeks, strain the mixture and squeeze all the cider from the produce. 8. Optionally, add honey 🍯, maple syrup 🍁, agave, or your preferred sweetener. You can take a tablespoon each morning 🌞 or use it when you’re feeling under the weather, taking it 2-3 times a day. 🌿💧

This isn’t just sauerkraut. It’s fermented support for gut-driven inflammation. Inflammation doesn’t only show up in the joints, skin, or immune system. 👉 It can often begin in the gut. Around 70% of the immune system is housed there, which means gut balance plays a key role in how inflammation is regulated throughout the body. That’s where fermented foods like Golden Sauerkraut come in 🌿 They help feed beneficial bacteria, support gut diversity, and encourage a more balanced inflammatory response. ⚠️ Important note: (This ISN’T a One Fits All) Fermented foods aren’t suitable for everyone. If your gut is sensitive, sauerkraut can aggravate symptoms. Always start very slowly (even a quarter–half teaspoon) and listen to your body. 🌿 Golden Sauerkraut (Save This Recipe) Ingredients 2 small heads green cabbage 2 fresh turmeric roots, grated (wear gloves, Turmeric stains) 2–3 tbsp sea salt Method 1️⃣ Finely chop cabbage and grate turmeric 2️⃣ Add salt and massage for 10 minutes until juices release 3️⃣ Pack tightly into a clean fermentation jar 4️⃣ If needed, add brine (1 cup filtered water + 1 tbsp sea salt) to fully submerge 5️⃣ Leave about 1 inch at the top for expansion 6️⃣ Keep cabbage submerged using a weight or a whole cabbage leaf Fermentation takes time — and so does gut healing. 7️⃣ Cover the container with a cloth or loose lid to allow gases to escape while preventing dust and contaminants from entering. 8️⃣ Ferment: Store the container in a cool, dark place (ideally around 65–72°F or 18–22°C) for 1 to 4 weeks. 9️⃣ Check the sauerkraut periodically, pressing down on the weight if necessary to keep the cabbage submerged. 🔟 Taste & Store Start tasting after 7 days. Once it reaches your desired tang, refrigerate to slow fermentation. The longer it ferments, the tangier it becomes.
